Im working on a update.zip to retheme icons back to default. It annoyed me with a lot of themes in the past. Probably not going to get done today cause my wife is starting to bitch about how much time I am playing with my phone today. I will start a thread whenever I finish it.
 
Thanks OMJ!...It would be nice to be able to install any 2.2 theme and then revert the icons back to stock. Like with the Nexthemed 2.2 ROM that Fab is working on...I know some people that aren't big on the NexTheme icons but love the rest of the theme.

But if you're a smart man...you'd forget this for the moment and go play with the wife! :D (I'm married...I get it...and I'm off to do the same! LOL)

I'd be doing the same thing. I'd probably flash the ROM until I got it to take...

Maybe you could try to load a rooted, stock 2.1 ROM and then put 2.2 over top of it without wiping (much like an OTA update would work)???? Just a thought my friend...

No Shit!...why don't they "get" it! :D My wife has a Droid and I asked her if she wanted me to put 2.2 on her phone and she said no cause she'd lose the Pink Themed CM Remix from JRummy!

My wife wont let me root her eris cause she doesnt want me "Hacking" her phone. Then she goes and bitches about the cool options my phone has with Cyanogen but heaven forbid I load the Eris cyanogen port on her phone.

I like this one better than the Team Chaos mod, but I just wish they wouldn't change the font.

(I believe most roms have no business changing the font because most people are bad at picking fonts, but that's for another rant.)
 
So far we have:

Clean Black by Team Chaos

Blackmodzz by MrBobRowitz

and Fab working on Nextheme.

Has anybosy seen anything else out there yet for Froyo?
 
Me, personally, I don't care for that theme - makes everything look flat, and 2 dimensional.

But I know that others out there will like it, so....

Bunsen, why not start a new thread for just ForYo theme links - the mods will probably then make it a sticky for ya....

I think the font Fab uses for NexBeast is perfect and all ROMs should use it (in my opinion).

I prefer arial and usually use a script to change it.

I probably should. If anyone else feels the urge to do so before I get around to it, have at it.
 
Could everyone please state their stability experiences as well here?
Not just, "it didn't work" - glitches, hangs, crashes, FC, etc. This will help all of us and the designers as I am sure they all prowl around.

I installed blackmodzz from MrBobrowitz and somehow lost root access. Used nandroid to revert back to a backup and everything is fine. Any one else have any problems?

Sorry, they changed the name awhile back fro Weather widgets donate. It is well worth the money. Very customizable and has a ton of skins. It is easy to modify skins too.
