Root Full HDMI out ... full version for both root and nonroot

not all apps have a lite version. its only $3! these devs work hard to bring great things to our phones. as soon as i get a cable i will defintely try this app out. if you want you can try the beta version which is free. it is in the op.

In the original thread he said there would be one.

Just joined the forums to specifically thank orrebmas for this wonderful app! The sound output option is exactly what I had also hoped for this type of app!

Speaking of which, my evo is rooted with stock sense rom, and I just flashed it with the "HDMI kernel" to take full advantage of the app, but I can't seem to get any sound out of it even with the Audio->Phone option(also tried with a head set). I'm currently using a Samsung monitor which has no HDMI input, but I'm using a DVI converter for it, which I think should be fine. Has anyone else tested this feature?

Thanks!

Yo... What Kernal we supposed to be using? I may just be bling, but I havnt seen a link to the "recommended" one.

People should post ROM/Kernal combo's they're using that function with this app too.

Hello[Everyone

Can anyone send me the released apk I can't login to Android Central for some reason.
Thanks Charles

Please ignore my request! I didn't read my apologies. QUOTE=orrebmas;2346309]Please use this version instead FullHDMI.apk[/QUOTE]

Downloaded the app from the market. Nice! A few things I noticed, though.

- I can't save my custom resolutions (as was the case in the Beta version). This would be extremely helpful, since once I resize the output for my intended display, I have to repeat the procedure every time I connect it & *hope* I remember what I set it at.

- I no longer have the options of resolutions greater than 800x600? Using the Beta version, I was Ble to set my custom resolution to around 1215x680 and stream hulu with relative clarity to my TV (note: I was running MikZ 1.0 at the time - I'm running WarmZ 2.2 currently). It was AWESOME. Now, with the market version, the video output isn't as high quality.

With those features, I'd be estatic :)

I am in an urgent crisis. I bought the hdmi cable. I've already been rooted. But It won't mirror anything except the crap it already did. I rooted with Unrevoked. I see the custom kernel you have here, but I dont know how to get it off the computer and replace the current kernel in my phone. I'm not that techy I just want awesomeness. Please help.

kuchek.. so you are running stock OS still.. no custom ROMs.

1. plug your phone to the pc.. via usb
2. put phone into "hard drive" mode.
3. copy the kernel to your sd card.. in the root directory.
4. but your phone into recovery mode.
5. do a nandroid backup!!!!
6. wipe only: cache .. and dalvik. (do not wipe data)
7. do step 6 two more times...(just over kill, but why not)
8. select flash new file
9. find the kernel and flash it.
10. select reboot phone... wait till phone boots.. it may take up to 15 mins. give it 30 mins if you have too.

hope it works for you.

In case some haven't noticed, FullHDMI on the market has been updated to support non-rooted phones now! Most of you probably don't care but it made me so excited.

Thanks Orrebmas, I will definitely be purchasing this app at some point in the near future.

Not sure if this thread is solely for orrebmas's app, but I figured I'd share that I have HDMwIn working on my TV.

I'm running a rooted stock ROM w/ netarchy-toastmod kernel. Will be testing on CM7 shortly for bluetooth mouse support.

I have a friend that I refered to this app having the same issue. He can not get the video resolution higher than 800x600

bumping this for a possible solution. I feel like a total goober now... granted the app was only $5...it doesn't work as advertised and I am the one that spoke so highly of it.

He has a stock phone

thanks guys!

I was able to get full mirroring with HDMwIn working at 720p resolution. Still haven't tried FullHDMI yet, but so far, I haven't seen any limitations with HDMwIn. Audio works as well.

I also had a chance to test it with CM7, which has working bluetooth HID support. I have a bluetooth mouse that I successfully paired with the Evo. While it is usable, it's not that great:

1) there's no mouse cursor, so you don't know where your cursor is.
2) If the screen rotates orientation, the mouse direction doesn't rotate with it. So what was left/right motion is now up/down on screen, even though you're moving your arm left/right. Very unintuitive.
3) There's nothing bound to the right mouse button. Left button is the equivalent of tapping on the screen. Right button SHOULD be bound to "back" but it's not. Not sure if this is a limitation of the BT HID or if it's a compatibility problem with my mouse.
4) The mouse does not appear to work in a bunch of games I have. Even if it did, the lack of a cursor makes it pretty useless anyway.

Good news is that with the NESoid (et al) emulators, you can set your controller to be the BT controller. So I was able to use my mouse to control my games to some extent. Left click was bound to "A" button, but since right button doesn't work, I couldn't bind B button. So in many games, I could jump but not shoot, and vice versa. A dedicated BT game controller should solve this problem I think. Or even a BT keyboard. I don't have one to test with.

Couldn't get HDMwIn to work so I installed this on CM7 with no other kernel and it works! Every minute or so of playback, though, it glitches and then goes back to normal. This both with Rockplayer and Youtube.
Also, how do I turn off the screen on the EVO while it is mirroring?
