Galaxy Nexus Watering Hole

I only watched it because they were in Pennsylvania and I know people that were talking about it on facebook who know people that were on the show. I stupidly watched the first season when I still had tv. Towards the end of the season I started to realize how dumb it was.

I used to watch Whale Wars too. That was the show that started my disgust for television.

Finding bigfoot is worse than whale wars.

That's pretty much the one I have. If there is that little tiny bump of an increase I don't even notice. I did notice the slight weight change and that made it feel much better.

Good to hear.

I haven't dabbled with rooting the phone (as of yet), but that's probably next on the 'to do' list, once I make some time to get up to speed on the process and consider the risks / benefits.

With wugs toolkit and the chiefs flashing tutorial it should be pretty easy. But I'm sure, like everyone else, doing it for the first time you're never sure if you're doing it right.

I read on a thread the this helps battery life....."went into developer options and set Max processes to 4".

Can you confirm or deny?

Also - battery is at 83%...approx 3 hrs 45 mins since last charge....Screen accounting for 68% of battery use, ajnd brighness is set for automatic brightness. Should I adjust screen / display settings?

Many thx

I've never heard of developer option thing you mentioned.

I keep mine on auto brightness. That is probably something you could play around with and see what works for you.

For rooting:

Nexus Root Toolkit v1.6.3 | WugFresh

For flashing:

(can't find The Chiefs tutorial. Maybe someone else can link it for me?)

Developer options become available if you open Settings-->About phone/tablet, scroll down to Build number and tap on it 7 times. It will then appear just above About phone and allows for USB Debugging, which is necessary to use command line and to use a program like Wug Fresh.

I know what that is. I didn't know of the specific option mentioned by lwjzos. My fault for not wording it differently.

Morning all...

Btw that Set processes to 4? I have tried to be changing that setting but did not help me, probably because I always have about 10apps running at the same time. .. Its at the bottom of the Developer Options, and sets the max Background Processes Limit. Its kind of like a built in task killer.

Happy Thursday All!

Hanlon - appreciate the link.

Anybody able to link the Chief's flasing links (mentioned above)?

HOOAH (can't help myself....I am an Army guy)

Good morning and Happy Thursday!

Well, apparently the new 4.2.2 VZW radios are out and are way less than spectacular. Some folks are reporting WORSE reception. That looks like a flash I won't be doing.

And we have apparently survived the winter! After today it's high 50s and 60s for as far as the eye can see. And the ol' Chief is happy about it :D

EDIT: lwjzos, do you mean the Guide? Is that what you're looking for? Welcome to Android Forums, by the way :)

Funny - I am seeing better reception with the new 4.2.2 radios especially at my desk at work. I guess you need to try it for yourself to make a decision on them.

Good morning everyone - almost Friday!!

BTW ended up with a bonus and a raise yesterday so that made my day a bit better. All of it goes into the wedding fund anyway, so every little bit helps.

Yeah buddy, I tell ya: that thing's getting around! I have no idea what a scribd is or why they decided to publish my Guide, but I think I'll put a stop to it. I update it from time to time and you want the latest and greatest, trust me:

Thanks and I'm flattered that you like and trust it. I use it every time I flash something and have yet to have an issue.

:)

Maybe make sure that scribd gets a report of you as the Copyright "owner"?

Its always helpful for me too!! Massive thanks to you for putting it all in writing.

Congrats Stigy!!
Every little bit helps with that fund!!

And a +1 on the signal reception....at least it has increased the speeds I am seeing at my desk and around my house. I was getting 2 bars of 3g at home and now I am getting 1 bar of 4G. and a constant connection, thats the important part. Constant connection

BTW Still loving JDX...13.2 is out!
