Galaxy Nexus Watering Hole

Steven, I think LG just suffers because, even though like Samsung they make EVERYTHING, they're just not known for smart phones. Samsung certainly is, and that's why LG doesn't get any credit outside of "tech sites". But yeah, since they dropped the Optimus name, their phones have gotten much better. I played with a G Flex for a few minutes at Best Buy the other day and have to say, that's one cool phone. :)

I see quite a lot of LG. It's Motorola I've never seen much of, although that might well change that they're now a subsidiary of Lenovo.

Yeah, I think until the Moto G was released, it was primarily an American company and sold only to the US. Lenovo is looking to change that of course (I just hope it doesn't sacrifice on quality).

Any Journey fans here? Check out Don't Stop Believin': Every Man's Journey on Netflix. Mostly about the new lead singer; how they found him and his experience. The awesome Journey music is a bonus :)

Steven, I think call quality is mostly a wash now. I used my Moto G on T-Mo a couple times the month I was testing their service and couldn't tell any difference than any previous phone I've had.
But, while I've never busted a screen or casing of any of my phones, I've still been more confident with a Moto vs. anything else.
While my wife loves her Moto X and I enjoy using it occasionally, just wish their next iteration blows it out of the water. I mean, seriously, that camera?!

Thanks, Tennessee!

I just got notice that I'm way late filing an annual report I had no idea we were supposed to annually file! I have to wonder how many other reports are overdue that I don't even know about...

Been a little over years since I made a cheesecake. It is half as tall than it should be. Not sure what made it do that?

Can you post the recipe? My only guess is it was well creamed before going in the oven and/or ingredients weren't all room temp. It also could be how you baked it and the amount of water bath.

Eggs, heavy cream, cream cheese, vanilla, corn starch, sugar.

Everything was room temp except the eggs. Those were out maybe 5 minutes?

I didn't do anything out of the ordinary, been making the same way for 15 years.

Tastes fine, but i just don't like the look.

Hmmm, yeah only guess would be the bake. Same oven? I've noticed over the past couple years ours has completely been out of whack temperature wise. Bottom temp is super high and makes for baking bread a pain (but nice for pizza). Perhaps get an oven thermometer and see if the setting is way off?

Yeah, that's my only thought. I've been meaning to get one of those. Maybe tomorrow and I'll have to make another soon.

with the g3 iPhablet, and note 4 coming later on, I may hold off. Still sporting my gnex.

I almost hate Samsung as much as Apple nowadays. But that would be a nice design. I do like that on the S5 you can use a pencil on the screen.

I'm eagerly awaiting the G3.

They seem to be all about locking their phones down now. Don't think it would take much for them to say, from now on it's Samsung Apps and services only, no Google and no side-loading.

I don't think they will ever say "Samsung apps only". Too many people would jump ship, the play store is just too big at this point. Perhaps if they would have started a full blown app store early on they would have had a chance, but not at this point.

They may try no rooting or side loading, we will always find a way around that though...It's the nature of the rooter!

I don't know about you guys, but to me this is the sexiest phone design EVER.

Looks good, Chief, but I'm chalking it up to another rumor that won't pan out.

By the way, what is all the hype about the curve-around screen? I'm not sure what the use for that would be. Yes, it looks really cool, but I won't want to have to flip my phone around to see app buttons, etc. And wouldn't you constantly be inadvertently hitting buttons, opening apps, etc.?
