Galaxy Nexus Watering Hole

Don't mention 3D. I'm still waiting for my tv.

Was to be delivered tomorrow until the delivery company said they don't offer white glove service in my area. Meaning they don't do stairs. So I had to have it changed to Friday. I have to wait longer.

That's a bummer with zeroes on the end. We have all new stainless steel appliances coming and it's a good thing we are in - surprisingly - an area with white glove delivery. Darling Bride's sudden and unexpected windfall gave her the kitchen she's always dreamed of... it should all be here in a week or so :)

Well, the Darling Bride is one happy person today. At 4:30 she takes delivery of a brand-new, fresh off the factory floor 2014 Chrysler 300C with every bell and whistle imaginable. And other than loading it on & off trains and trucks, she'll be the first person to drive it. Insurance is done, Pre-Approved Loan is locked at 1.75% for 60 months (won't need that long), and she's ready to go to the dealership NOW!

:D

I go to look and my son KEPT HIS UNLIMITED!!!!! My wife went onto the loyalty max 6 gb, which is fine since she only uses about .5 gb per month!

I'll activate my daughter on the 6 gb (she only uses 1.5 gb per month)... So the heavy hitters, my son and I, will retain unlimited. My next phone will be probably DPP (no contract payment for the entire phone) and I'll keep my unlimited. Amazing how this is working out!!

Steven, you're still riding that ugly pig Verizon? :(

Watched Godzilla earlier today. I'd pay to watch again.

Great to hear, I'm going to watch it this weekend.

If you liked the movie Gravity then read The Martian, NOW!

By who? I liked Gravity. All 45 minutes of it.

You should be able to get 0.9 APR at this time of the year...I know you got a preapproval but you should double check yo see if you can get a better rate. The dealership may have "cuddle" with the bank or credit union you are going through. Double check it brother.

There's a 3rd one out already?!
We just got our Acer Aspire S7 a couple weeks ago. I HATE having a touch screen. There's some dust on the screen, you go to wipe it quickly away with a finger and now you're in some new window. PITA if I've ever seen one.

The best the dealership could do was 1.49. But we won't have the loan long enough to lose much. Thanks for the advice!

:)

TV has arrived!

I was shocked when I went outside and saw there was only one person!

As he was pulling it out it almost fell over so I had no choice BUT to help.

This is the biggest TV I've ever had. It comes with 4k and 3D. I tested out simulated 3D and was very impressed. Although once you stand up you get crosstalk. With the TV speakers located on the sides this thing is sexy!

Inside Google tipster said the 23rd, today, for 4.4.3. Same tipster has now said it is delayed, no time given. FFS.

Thanks for the congrats on the Darling Bride's spaceship with wheels. Here is the happy lady with her brand new, 7-mile odometer baby:

I'm telling you: this thing does everything but drive itself and make cappuccino in the morning. I'm simply astonished that they could squeeze this much technology into a single vehicle.

:)

EDIT: Better yet... when we took delivery, our salesman SADLY told us that our rebate had increased significantly! LOL in fact, it almost completely covered the cost of a factory bumper-to-bumper warranty, on anything that isn't accident-caused, routine maintenance or wear & tear, with only a $100 deductible. For as long as we own the car! How many car manufacturers still even offer such a warranty? Anyway, Chief & Mrs. Chief are very happy.

There was an episode of Pawn Stars that a guy was trying to sell a custom Dodge Magnum that he modified with suicide doors. It was pretty boss but he was asking way too much for and they never bought it.

Today I went to the store and remote started the new car from the Deli (it has a 300-foot range!). By the time I got back to the car, it was nice and cold. But as soon as I got in, it shut off and I had to start it normally... that's how it stops would-be thieves from taking it.

I'm ceaselessly flabbergasted by all the stuff this car can do.

I hope everyone close by one will attend their local Memorial Day ceremony. Take time out of your holiday to recognize that without the service and sacrifices of VETERANS, you wouldn't have a holiday. Thank them for their service. Talk to them: you will be in the company of living legends, and the families of those who have passed. I will be speaking at ours as Commander of the local DAV. It's always humbling to talk to WWII, Korea and Vietnam veterans, because I know they had it far worse than me and lived to tell the tale.

For example, Mr. Raymond here is a WWII veteran who stormed Omaha Beach at D-Day in the first wave... and lived to talk about it. He marched all the way to Berlin (he maintains that no one would give him a ride there). It truly sends chills up my spine to be in the presence of such living legends.
