Galaxy Nexus Watering Hole

Check the continuity of the low voltage wire running back and forth from the box on the wall inside the house to the button on the exterior. If it's good, then the issue is on the exterior button or on the whatever you call it on the wall where the solenoid is that rings the bell. Both of those are easy and relatively inexpensive replacements. If that wire is gone, then you may have larger issues like rodent chewed wires or water damage. Also, it will be more expensive as those wires are more than likely inside the walls.:(

Call me traditionalist, but I find comfort in the plungers striking actual chimes over a digital sample of plungers hitting chimes :)

I hear ya. ;)
When we had one installed at the restaurant several years back (was my old job), the tech was very discouraging of a wireless model as well. But even installing a wired doorbell was a bit of a PITA so I understand. Wish I could help but to me it's something best left to a handyman.

OMG this Chevrolet pop-up ad is driving me nuts!!!

Anyway, I posted this in Classifieds:

Just in case you want one :)

Anyway, it's a great morning in the Chief household! Yes, I'm still batching it, as the Darling Bride wraps up week 2 out of state. That leaves me time to hit the gym and lose weight - and it's working! My sister and I made a bet that whoever lost 15 pounds first would get $50 from the other. So it's a race to the finish line now!

I started at 204.6 and yesterday I tipped the scales at 192.0. Just 2.4 pounds to go and I want to wrap it up this week. I just experimented with my Size 34 Levis 501s, just to see how many buttons I could close. They FIT! And all buttons fastened! :D

Granted, they're still a little tight. VERY tight. So tight, in fact, that if I wore them during a post-burrito gas attack I'd likely blow my shoes off. Point being, THEY FIT!!!

So the ol' Chief is getting buff yet again. Well okay, not buff... just svelte. Meanwhile my sister is sidelined from all exercise while the doctor tries to correct her botched knee replacement: looks like they'll have to do the surgery all over again with a new knee. She's hating the thought... must be an excruciating surgery and recovery.

I wish I could say I was sorry to hear that she can't compete fairly with me, but I can't because that's Moto 360 money right there :D

I was up until 2 AM putting signs out for my run for County Commissioner. I like doing that late at night so the traffic is light. Early voting starts Friday!

I hope you guys have a great week!

:)

Saw Planet of the Apes. It was very good. We saw it in 3D. After we left the theater, I told my daughter, "Funny, ever since I've seen the movie the movie in 3D, everything looks like it's in 3D!" (My daughter just shook her head. Literally.)

We want to go see Planet of the Apes and Transformers. We just don't have time.

My LG G2 started acting wonky with the Knock - On yesterday. It no longer works well. I literally have to double tap really slowly to get it to work, and it is really hit or miss whether it works. I haven't updated or anything, so maybe it's an app messing with it.

It's funny how dependent I became on using it for turning on the phone.

I have a bad digitizer, so they sent me a new old phone. I know have to decide whether I let the phone update to kit Kat when it gets here, before I root it.

I rooted it when I got it last time, but kept it stock. It was the first time in a long time that I wasn't putting ROMs on.

What do you guys think? Let the phone update before rooting?

I rooted mine back when I first got it, but I'm still stock. My only problem the few months is the touch screen. Good chance I'm getting the G3 Thursday or friday.

Verizon has now removed the Device Payment Plan option. SOBs! My only option is the upgrade workaround or shell it out all at once. I imagine it won't be long until they won't allow upgrading then switching phone to different line.

I just unsubscribed from the now licked g3 pre release thread. My addict hands are shaking. :p

I love the way you go to Verizon's site and look at the first several reviews. They are all glowing. How the heck do these people know? They haven't even had the phone for a day, yet! #geez

Was going to get the G3 today but I think I need the other phone I want to upgrade with me. And that line won't be around until Wednesday.

Is the G3 the latest and greatest? I'm looking to get rid of my Razr Maxx HD because I found out it has one of the highest radiation levels :-*

I can't see passing it up for $99 on Verizon. That is if you have an upgrade. If I don't like it, I'll sell it.
