I've heard mixed things? Maybe it depends on the variant. IOroot worked easily enough the first time. It was flashing a recovery that was a pain but Flashify seemed to work fine.

Nice thing about towelroot if it doesn't work nothing happens to your phone.


In other news

Guardians of the Galaxy is THE best Marvel movie to date and is the first movie to have a feeling of a space saga since Star Wars. Will Watch agAin today or tomorrow.

Stay for after credits. If you know 80s movies, there is a nice surprise.

Replacement G2 is now rooted and TWRP is flashed. Boy, with Towelroot and AutoRec that was about a 2min process.
Still really need to factory reset the old one before sending back in though.

Edit: And AutoRec can be used to fix download mode in the old one.... Back on track to unrooting the old one!!!

I initially had a detailed report for you, but thought the better of it. Things are surpassing all expectations for us. It's shaping up to be a landslide!

So that's how things are progressing! The end date is Election Day this Thursday. I so look forward to it, too - this has been an exhausting endeavor!

Good for keeping the Politics where they belong Chief. Let me publicly say I wish you luck in your campaign wherever on the political spectrum you fall. I know you well enough to know that you will make decisions based on what you believe is right and that you will stand by your beliefs and convictions. Most voters I know ask nothing more from their candidates.:thumb:

After the first ROM flash on the new phone, no messed up display. Still is making me nervous though each time!

Serious. I really don't like messing around in the guts of the phone... particularly if it's a full wipe and TiBU restore. Sure, I've done it dozens of times, and my heart still skips a beat every time I do it.

Good news about the Note 3 is that it's virtually un-brickable. If something goes wonky, I can always Odin back to stock, re-root and start all over. And I've done that too.
