Galaxy Nexus Watering Hole

Speaking of which, haven't seen Han in quite some time. Where's that guy been?

I'm here! I have to admit I've been really busy lately. Still rocking the Note 3, although I've decided to ditch the iPad mini (or at least put it in a drawer somewhere for a while) and go back to Note 10.1. I tried the Pro 12.2, but man that thing is HUGE!!! Waaaaay too big.

I'm sorely tempted by the G3, though.

THAT'S WHAT SHE SAID! :D

Han, it's always great to see you here... I thought you were somewhere shooting Episode VII...

I'm still sporting the Note 3 as well, but we're less than a month away now from the reveal of the Note 4! I'm so pumped!

:)

I'm rockin' a Note Tab right now, but I really don't see me using it in a smaller form factor. Aside from my aging vision, I have found that my phone activities and tablet activities are quite different.

The Note 4 will have to be a complete overhaul to wow me enough to plunk down that much cash for it. If screen size is the same, I probably won't bite. The rumored upjump in screen resolution isn't enough for me. I'm very happy with the HD on the 3. Same goes for the G3 Stylus.

I'm also not tempted by supposed aluminum. Even when I had the metal and glass iCrap, I had a case for it. I don't think I'll ever go case-less, so who cares.

I just spent a ton of cash on a high end laptop I need for work and a nice long vacation.

Samsung already has the monopoly for their galaxy devices. Having a new competitor in the game, they will have a rough start. Sticking by my Note 10.1 until it's the end of it's life. Probably the most useful computer I have ever owned.

Oh how I hate FedEx.

I've had to use them, through no choice of my own, at least a dozen times now. NOT ONCE have they ever stuck to their 3pm delivery guarantee (to my office address).

Not. freaking. once.

Idiots.

Looks like Sprint is replacing their CEO as well. Hmm. He's been there a long time, though. Maybe it's time for a change.

My hopes went out the window of better coverage so I could leave Verizon, unless TMO steps up their game.

Maybe, maybe not. They claim they will be enforcing their 3G poicy on 4G. If you are an unlimited beyond your contract, have been previously flagged as a high user (top 5%) and are using a busy tower when it is busy, your throughput will be slowed enough for tiered folks to get their contracted throughput. The FCC has expressed concern that this may run counter to the rules for their purchase of bandwidth. My fear is VZW is playing chicken in hopes of eliminating unlimited.

If you are on a tower that is under heavy use. FCC has questioned it and Verizon gave their usual smug response.

Not surprising. I'm so glad I jumped ship.

Either someone is joking around or you are going to be one lucky S.O.B.!

The only thing I found in a couple minutes of Googling was Baltimore is on the list of potential upcoming cities for Fiber. Being not too far from here and about the same size city, who knows?
Some other reading led me to believe Google isn't trying to combat FiOS and DC is a big city for FiOS (I'm just guessing as Comcast is everywhere too).
I'm gonna say someone is just yanking my chain, but a guy can dream right? :)
