Not a bit. After the Note 4 reveal on September 3rd the phone is expected to hit shelves within a couple of weeks. I hope it's not a monumental letdown like the S5 was... Sammy needs this to be a raging success and I suspect they're throwing everything they have into it.

Let's hope it's enough.

:)

Hopefully with the world's largest shipyard, and production of every sort of truck, washing machine and TV imaginable, along with chip foundries supplying parts to every other mobile manufacturer, they'll be able to hold on and eek out an existence in the face the onslaught of competition in the mobile phone segment.

That last picture, is the the Note 10 prototype.

Btw - 3 is not an integral power of 2.

Therefore, devices having 3 GB of ram is not a 32-bit processor limit.

2^32 is 4 gigs.

And if anyone wanted to build segmented addressing circuits (remember how the 16-bit 8086 could address more than 64k of memory?) then you can address even more than 4GB and still have a 32-bit processor.

Yes. Yes, the blogosphere is still dead wrong.

I wish I was smart enough to understand this. :(

Easy version -

The blogosphere is pushing the idea that there is a magical limit on ram due to 32-bit processors, so you need a 64-bit processor to access more than 3 GB of ram (or, 4 GB of ram according to many Discus commenting experts).

The simple version of why that's silly is proven by noticing that phone storage is easily addressed for 16, 32, and even up to 128 GB.

But when it comes to changing the word from storage to ram maximums, reason is replaced by expert magic.

Well, the election is over, folks. Well, no it isn't. If you're politically interested, hit show:

Are you ready for this? For what has to be the first time in County history, my opponent and I are TIED at 256 votes each! A PERFECT tie!

And there is just ONE provisional ballot. A provisional ballot is issued if the person is registered to vote, but doesn't have any ID to show (yes, a requirement in Tennessee). They have 48 hours to present said ID. Sooooooo.....

If that ONE person shows their ID at the election office by 4:30 Monday, that vote will count and one of us will win.

Now my Darling Bride was inside as my designated poll watcher when that person came in, and told me that said individual was in biker attire. This bodes well for me, since most bikers (at least here) are politically conservative... as am I.

So if said individual is politically conservative and voted that way, I'm in. If not, I don't.

So I don't want you to EVER, EVER stay home from an election because you think your vote won't count! It counts more than you might think!

However this pans out, I am completely at peace about it. If my opponent wins, that only means to me that I'm not meant to be there in this season of my life. If I win, it means that I am meant to be there.

:)
