Galaxy Nexus Watering Hole

for anyone usin the soft key mods or changing the LED color... the hex code for ICS blue is #33B5E5

i've been wonderin this forever and just found it today. SolidOrange's post reminded me that AOKP have had the mods baked in for a few builds and now that i updated to M2 i needed to update accordingly.

Is there a way to actually set the color in hex? Am I missing something? I see the color in hex, but doesn't let me edit the number, only the color.

Actually you could, and get them all, as they've been available in aokp for a while now. Didn't want to interject, but thought I'd add this tidbit :)

can you change the softkeys as well as their color, number, and order on the current build of AOKP without having to flash through CWM? i am really not trying to drag this out, just wondering. having them easily accessible in the settings menu is the best part of Codename, IMO. the last version of AOKP i used definitely did not have this option, so i thought Codename was first. if not, i stand humbly corrected.

yeah, weird. i changed the color to the #33b5b5, just got in to take a screenshot and i get different code. in any case, you need to hit set after entering the code and then have to tap the right box to get the color to stick. a lil much IMO.

edit: holy huge image haha.

yep. not sure which build aokp started pulling them in. i also like not having to flash gapps... it's all baked right in. you're not the only one who likes Codename, so even if it's not coded himself, it's still ICS and working so that's good stuff. i think my favorite is the ICS-like toggles. i had fun with Rootzboat but didn't particularly like the way they make you got into the settings.

Wow, after flashing the rom and restoring titanium, I think I broke it. I keep getting "Unfortunately, the process android.process.acore has stopped" and every time I click OK it comes right back up...over and over...

Answered above, but yes it's been available for over 2 weeks now maybe 3 I forget. The color change was just made available in build 15 which was released 3 days ago I think

It's all good I've liked aspects of every single ROM I've tried so far...we have some amazing work being done!

Are you just restoring "your apps" not system apps or data? If not, then that is often the safest most problem free way to do it

Wow, my phone was FREAKING out. I guess I can't restore all my apps and system data through titanium. Made my phone go nuts. Re wiping and flashing now...

I guess I'm going to have to make my own custom battery sometime soon I can't get anyone to make it for me :p

I don't like any white numbers/text in the notification bar throws the theme off imo. I just want Roboto font'd numbers same sized as the clock in ICS blue. That would be awwh-sum!

I like the grayish color going on in mine. But I don't like white at all either so I know how you feel.
And roboto doesn't do anything for me. :o

Best way to learn is by doing, well done!

Yeah, I'm hoping that was the problem. Backing up stock Codename rom now and JUST as it went to reboot into clockwork, I got something like "blah.blah.media as stopped working"...Not very encouraging...But, its backing up now.

Mine does that each time I boot into recovery.
I think it says SuperUser stopped

You 'can' restore certain portions of the system partition... typically the mms messages and the call log and such can be restored without an issue

We all learn the hard way lol :-P I don't wanna tell you how many times I've broken stuff at work and not able to correctly fix it lol

Good and yourself :)

Chillin. Watching a movie my wife and I have seen twice before. Using your UV settings suggestions with the interactive governor and I am getting great battery life! Gonna go a couple days without a flash to test...if I can contain myself!

Morning everyone

I am going rom shopping for this here new Nexus I was on gumnynex on the old one... So what is everyone liking and running now?

Love AOKP.

Good morning peeps! I'm about to flash AOKP M2 over build 15, but was wondering about which kernel to use? I got a couple of random reboots using 15 with Franco's kernel, although I should mention I flashed the newest 4.0.3 radios, although I don't think that was a problem.

I am a ROM shopper now too. Wanted to wait and see what stock 4.0.2 ics would do for me...unrooted and stock. But honestly can't take the multiple charges per day its taking me and not using the phone as much as I would like or need to. I have actually found myself NOT using the phone because it might wear out the battery...crazy!!!! And Frustrated...so off to the rom shops today. Will be rooting and boarding the Crack Flaher express tonight after work.
Here are 2 screenshots of my day yesterday:
