Galaxy Nexus Watering Hole

Was it the AnAndTech article? I thought there was one from AC refuting that saying it was a Qualcomm chip? Either way, I'm not going to get LTE for another 8 months so forcing 3G is where its at for me lol.

There's also that little sticker on the bottom of our phone labelled "QUALCOMM 4G" so I am pretty sure that is what is giving us LTE.

Has anyone figured out how to move apps to sd? I have a couple that are nagging me to move them.

Don't think you can? Its a unified storage system with virtual partitions, I don't think the OS really distinguishes between the virtual SD partition and the data partition since they aren't real. Could be wrong, sure I'll be corrected if I am.

Been looking at the phone for about 10 minutes now. First time I opened the box I could NOT hold back the grin. Pulled it out of the box, it feels light, nice in the hand. Back in the box to look at it some more. Back out. Then in and now its sitting on my desk in the box as I type this. Still off.

I still have the grin on my face :D

Now its time to pull the baby out of the box once again, put in the battery, fire it up and charge. While its charging, I am going to locate the samsung drivers and do a refresher on the unlock to make sure I have the current info :D

What a beauty and I have not even turned it on yet!

it seems you can delete on google+ but they are still on the phone. I have some pictures I would rather not have on the phone anymore. I went to google+ and deleted but they are still on gallery app on the phone. Long pressing doesn't do anything and the 3 dots don't give an delete option.

I have the sync off for photos. There's stuff I don't want online.

Long press to delete worked fine for me in the gallery...?

Wut? Gallery>Album of Choice>Long press picture to delete until vibrate>click 3 dot menu button>Press Delete>Profit?

They did this way so you could select multiple photos to delete.

There is no option to delete. I've tried 18 ways to sunday. I went to Google+ and deleted from there. Disabled instant upload on the desktop version and mobile. Cleared Media under phone settings. Downloaded picasa on my laptop and photos aren't there. I click on gallery app on phone and there they are. Long press, nothing. Choose photo...three dots...nothing.

are they the full sized picture or just a thumbnail? i've had a few customers who had this kind of issue and it was just a matter of navigating through the SD card and deleting the thumbnails through there.

It is an Instant upload album. I searching the internt and I'm seeing some stuff about people not being able to get them off the phone.

there is no SD card...

I know there is no SD. Go to settings applications and you will see three tabs. One is "On Phone", one is "On SD Card" and the other is "Phone Only". I have one app that is mysteriously on SD card and that is CBS Profootball app I have two others that are nagging to go into the SD.

did you try lighting the phone on fire? im sure that would get rid of them for good :P (please don't try that, instead just send the phone to me, i'll set it on fire for you, don't want you burning yourself ;))

Nevermind. :o I figured it out. I have Superbox Pro installed and what I'm seeing is that app wanting to move the apps to SD. Oops. :o:o

How did they navigate through the sd card?

Anyone having a problem answering calls? When I slide to answer it keeps ringing and sometimes it doesn't seem to actually pick up. I've only gotten 3 calls so I'm not sure if it's a real problem or what.

Yeah. after I typed in the adb reboot bootloader, I got a device driver failure, when I queried that, it said the MTP was not connected... I don't know where to go from there.

[ADB/FB Driver] Naked Samsung Driver 1.7 - xda-developers

Yes, I'm assuming you have the samsugn 1.4.x drivers installed (installed via EXE file). Correct?

If so, then go in and remove them from the uninstall program option. Next, find the Samsung 1.7 drivers (link is in main root sticky, if I have time, I'll go back and update with link). Unzip and save them somewhere, it is not an installable package. Remember where you put them.

Plug phone in (powered off). Fastboot. You'll get the standard "unknown hardware" type prompts (as you are familiar with). Now go into device manager, find the unrecognized device, go to driver tab, update driver and point it to the directory where you stored the new drivers.

It will install and now recognize your phone and you can go from there.

I had a problem all day. I happened to scroll down into the comments and saw this...To those confused about getting a waiting for device message: Android 1.0 will appear in Device Manager AFTER you run adb reboot bootloader. Once you see that, navigate through and manually add your SAMSUNG Android Phone device driver ("Let me pick") - should be dated 11-25. This is the driver you downloaded from Samsung.

Unlocked right after I did that.
