Hey all hope everyone is having a good week.
We are busy getting wedding stuff done, and I have 1 more project to finish....an led light set, controller and hanging canopy/frame for that fish tank friend I was helping...

However...today was not so great. I had received some news from my oldest daughter about a week ago...and apparently she is having a hard time dealing with it. Ever have one of those days where you wish you could protect your children just a little longer..especially when you realize that they are having a heck of a time dealing with life? Oye...anyways thanks for letting me vent...just ready for this day to be over...bring on the cheer tomorrow!! Closer to the weekend....I hope!!

Here is for cheer tomorrow, positive energy and prayers for you and your daughter!

I've been using lean for awhile and I like it. I used the one that comes with CNA for two days and I felt my battery was draining faster.

Thanks Halon, I will see what the new release does, but I may flash lean kernel if battery drain continues.

Thanks for the links Razor!
I loved that article about the guy who got the assault rifle in place of a TV. Lives in DC too. We do have some really strict gun laws here so I imagine the police were very .
Edit: Oh and now they're talking about it on the local news.

Morning everyone!

Did you tweak anything?

Nah I didn't tweak anything in the way of battery life stuff. Nothing I've ever done has managed to increase or decrease my battery life by a significant amount other than a couple of times when I flashed a ROM and a service got stuck running in wakelock...that drained me down in about 4 hours from a full charge.

Good morning to everyone else! Had to wake the nieces up this morning and tell them goodbye before I left. Gonna miss them!

For the record...the wife and I have a king bed. Extremely nice, but we only use about half of it...even at that, we still find it uncomfortable when we go to either of our parents' houses and have to sleep on the full size they have in their spare rooms.

Watched the Beach Volleyball finals last night. Can't believe that was Misty and Kerri's last match together. Legends of the sport.

3 Olympic Gold Medals
44-0 record in Olympic competition
88 sets won

Good morning everyone - happy Friday eve!

GO USA!

Does anyone use KeePass or LastPass for password management? This whole Mat Honan story has got me up on my toes. I know I am not a target or anything, but I want to be safe. I have two factor auth on and I do local backups. I want to start strengthening some passwords, but wondering what people use. KeePass seems really nice because its local and can by sync'd with Dropbox and its open source and free.

Good morning everyone. Woke to gray skies today which probably means a little shopping today!

Stingy - I know DarthSilentBob uses KeePass and likes it. I have it downloaded but haven't done anything with it yet so I can't give any first hand info or experience yet.

I just downloaded KeepPassDroid to my phone - just playing around with it now. I'll report back with my thoughts on it. I just hope I don't forget the password into the application.

Application looks a bit dated, but honestly function over form for this one. Definitely want to just strengthen some passwords I use especially for banking and personal stuff.

I've used it extensively for several years no and we have our lives in that file.

I extended the number of permutations it took to open the file to increase security so it can take up to 30 seconds to open on the phone or tablets. Having said that we love it.

Only a concept. I like it.

Google Nexus D is a curved concept with a kickstand | CNET UK

Should a Googler pass away while under the employ of the 14-year old search giant, their surviving spouse or domestic partner will receive a check for 50% of their salary every year for the next decade. Even more surprising, a Google spokesperson confirms that there’s “no tenure requirement” for this benefit, meaning all 34 thousand Google employees qualify.

It was nice to watch, but the real match was the semis against China. Wow, was that a match for the ages.

Interesting - I would have loved a kickstand on the GNex, but I'm not a huge fan of that dramatic curve.
I saw this as I was prepping the RSRSS last night, good on Google for doing this. I'm especially appreciative of the inclusion of the "domestic partner" part, Google is setting a great social example and I'm hoping it's only a matter of time before other companies follow suit in recognizing gay couples as full equals.

Newest photo from Mars rover Curiosity and it's not pretty!

They're closer than we ever thought!

:D

EDIT: As far as battery life on CNA goes, I just flashed the franco 231 kernel this morning. So we'll see how that stretches things. Granted, I may not be the guy to ask about battery life, because I kill my battery streaming Google Music 8-10 hours a day. So not a lot of standby time on this rig.

So I've been using KeePass to generated random passwords to strengthen some accounts that I don't want people to brute force and to keep my passwords across sites different. Quite cool what it comes up with.

One of the randomly generated passwords it gave me (not using) is: "(:c)[Xf)jz}u(H

Yeah good luck figuring that out.
