Galaxy Nexus Watering Hole

Sorry man! That's a bummer.

It's all fine with me...honestly had thought about backing out myself, lol. ;) A realtor called last night wanting to do a one-time showing so I called her back and told her she could, but after that I think we're taking it off the market.

EDIT: Horrible news about the Boston Marathon. Not being a pessimist, just my belief and me being a realist, things like this will continue and get worse, sadly.

Hey Pup, chime in if you are out there. Want to make sure your are o.k.
Treb,

Thanks for posting this. I made a thread in our staff section because you brought this to our attention. Thank you very much.

Razor,

Thank you as well for posting links. That was helpful as well.

No problem. He ( Pup ) posted earlier today in the S3 Watering Hole that he was NOT going to Boston today b/c of the run, but sometimes plans change. Keep us posted. Thanks.

My next door neighbor finished last year just shy of 4 hours, but didn't do it this year due to her having a baby. She would have been nearby. Two blessings in one.

I hope our Boston people are safe and sound. Unbelievable.

Reporting in, all safe here. I work in Cambridge, so nowhere near Copley, but I do pass by there on my commute in and out every day, really scary.

EDIT: A friend from my Israel trip had a brother who was running in the marathon, and her mother was here in Boston as well to cheer him on - she's saying she can't reach either of them :( Please keep your fingers crossed for them.

EDIT2: Just following up - my friend's brother and mother turned up, they are unhurt. Phew.

Hi folks, I'm fine as well as my family that lives in Boston. It was too crowded for them to get closer, so they were are a restaurant about a block away.

After 8 long years I almost had a dog again. I was excited. But then my exwife managed to ruin it. The shelter called the vet we took my Boxer to and she told them not to give out any info.

My Moms response via text: Still ruining your life, b****.

Sorry halon. That sucks. :(

Good morning all.

Glad to hear everyone in the Boston area is okay from the events yesterday. It really is a shame to see this happen to such innocent people and my thoughts and prayers go out to anyone who was affected by it. It seems like it could have been worse, but it really is disgusting to see the damage this caused.

In lighter news, I finally got to sample my first all grain homebrew yesterday. I brewed a very simple pale ale with a two malt grain bill and cascade hops as my only addition. It was exactly what I hoped it would be, nice and light (color is awesome) with a citrus / grapefruit finish at the end of it.

morning MSUgEEk

well guys my mom Finally made it home yesterday the breast cancer surgery was a complete success and the final labs came back saying it did not spread anywhere ... she had a mastectomy and reconstruction/ tummy tuck (perk) all at the same time so now she it is hormones and rest until she is back to 100% ... man its been one hell of a ride but i can say SCREW cancer we fought it and we won :D
(love YA guys and MOM) :D :D :D :D

Dread ain't that the truth ... facing that thought of my moms mortality before the sugery was one of the hardest part of this journey and now that we have faced it then I know I will appreciate her more

BTW...due to yesterday's events, there was increased security here and it took me 2 hours to get to work rather than 30 minutes. 20 minutes to get to the line of traffic at the security checkpoint...1 hour and 40 minutes to get from there to my desk which normally takes 10.

Awesome to hear bbk!

Yeah my wife called me saying there was a massive boom while she was loading the kids from preschool, people started freaking out after yesterday. (Because Statesboro, GA is second on the list after Boston you know ) anyways she knew right away it was a sonic boom. Apparently one of the planes doing joint military exercises at Ft. Stewart got a little generous with the throttle while flying overhead. Haha.
