Galaxy Nexus Watering Hole

One as a bonus (I know, I'm really putting my foot in it this time):

:D

I'm sooooo excited. My dad won a raffle at work for 2 tickets to Trans-Siberian Orchestra this year and he is going to take me!!!!!

And I just just picked up a note 3 on vzw today.
Wish I could turn off the home button so I can carry it in my pocket. Lol.
Hope everyone is doing well! Have a great weekend all.

Somehow I feel like there's a setting to do this. I recall I was able to disable powering on with my S3. Maybe it required root? Check through the loads of settings and you might find it.

I did a search with S-finder and manually, and can't find any setting that allows a Note 3 to disable the home button. That said, I have Apex Launcher Pro that allows me to define the use of the home button, including "Do Nothing". You might experiment with that and see if it's something that works for you :)

Thanks. That's about what I am finding too.
It really is a great device and I am certainly excited about my phone again...and it is big. But man..The clarity the battery life and the speed. Holy smokes!
Nexy has been relegated to a digital photo frame for now. Hope everyone's weekend is going smoothly. Enjoy your day!

Did you see the miracle Hail Mary pass that won Auburn the game against Georgia? WOW!

:)

On a more personally exciting note (no pun intended), my wireless charging S-View cover for the Note 3 is on its way to me after a 2-month back-order! Now I have a standard Note 3 S-View cover to sell...

I LOVE wirelessly charging this phone (try it: you'll never go back to wires), and I love the S-View cover. But I can't use both at the same time. Now it's the best of both worlds!

:D

Yeah I was watching it live. Crazy, but I suppose justice was done, because I don't think Aaron Murray made it in the endzone on 4th and goal to score the go ahead touchdown. But yeah, definitely one of the most amazing finishes to a game that I can remember.

Good morning everyone! Hope you all had a great weekend. We were at an anniversary party last night for a couple who has been married 63 years, and they still pick on each other. Wow.

Watched the season 3 finale of Breaking Bad last night as well. (very mild spoiler):
When Jesse goes to Gale's house.

AMAZING SHOW!!

I don't know how I missed this for 5 years, but I'm kind of glad I did; I can't imagine waiting 6 months to see what happens next. Tonight, Season 4 begins.

(Don't spill anything to me if you've watched it, please.)

But awesome show.

Thanks. That's about what I am finding too.

I loved my Note 3, Ryan. When I switched to T-Mobile last week, I had the full intention of sticking with it on the GSM version. But they loaned me a 5-inch phone while I waited for the Note 3 to be shipped to the store, and I realized how much I prefer a slightly smaller screen. Plus I never used the S-Pen on the phone, really (I use it on the Note 10.1 all the time). So I decided to go with the G2. I actually prefer the G2's screen (edge to edge, practically), the battery life is about the same, and there is almost a "silky" feel to the screen, I have no idea why.

Enjoy your Note. It's a great phone.

Could have had a 5 inch Nexus on T-Mobile:p

I thought about it. But to me, they both are very similar phones (hardware-wise), except that the G2 has that edge-to-edge, almost no bezel look that the Nexus just doesn't have.

And so the main difference is software, and I just am not really feeling the kitkat flavor. I'm kind of turned off by "stock" android at the moment, and I'm a fan of the LG UI.

Fair enough, I have heard lots of people liking the LG skin on the g2. They have come a long way in 3 years.

Han, I missed Breaking Bad when it was on TV too. I started watching it a few months ago on Netflix and would get so caught up watching it. I would start watching an episode about 9PM and was still going at midnight because I couldn't turn it off. I watched through the midpoint of season 5 (all that is on Netflix) in less than a month.
