Galaxy Nexus Watering Hole

Nah. My last apartment, two of my nieces and my sister came over and decorated it.

When I was married I would put up the tree on Thanksgiving.

I do watch Christmas Vacation and Home Alone every Xmas Eve though.

Add away. HA!

Finally picked up a turntable and my first vinyl. My first was supposed to Beastie Boys Licensed to Ill, but I've been listening to Cold War Kids lately and this album is great from beginning to end.

I always watch 24hrs of a Christmas Story. :)
Oh yeah, and 24hrs worth. :p
Although, this year we'll only be at my brothers for a short time since I have to work in the afternoon and I don't have cable at home (it's usually on TBS or something?). Either way, I'll catch it. ;)
Home Alone is another great Xmas movie!

Twitter adding party?! Count me in @mattdonders

Good morning all - I'll be working from home Wednesday and Friday of this week due to it being slow for the holidays, which is awesome.

So I decided to learn Objective-C to bring the iOS version of my weight watchers app in line with the Android version. First screen UI and some code has been written.

Vinyl is good. Very wise decision there halon. :D:thumbup:
But come on, you can do better for a first piece of 45RPM?;)

For the love of vinyl: keep them standing, and use/turn them every now and then. If not, they will deform. Especially in warmer climate.
I held the most unique items in my hands, but totally worthless due to sagging.

I found a Tom Petty collection I want. Some guy on eBay is selling it for $299. After a Google search I found it for $112. Original price is $149.

Vinyl has a label number. That number (telling you which record brand, year of publishing and which number of pressing), the sleeve and the state it's in set the right market price.
There are two worldwide recognized price guides that renew every other year; one for US labels (Goldmine) and one for UK labels (Record Collector). You can imagine that labels published in smaller countries were published in lower numbers and therefore more valuable.

You cannot tell I am a collector, do you? :D:rolleyes:

I really need to sit down and document my vinyl collection. Nothing super rare, but just enjoy seeing what I have all in one place.

Yah. It's fun chasing a special piece, the bargaining, I am enjoying the old school art of some sleeves, giving it a place in the collection, and playing it of course.Watching the lined up collection is a fest in itself.
Luckily hubby and me share the (95%) same taste in music :p

I have vinyl! Well, 78s...

It's a Victrola, for cryin' out loud! :)

Okay, charging my Note 3 to go all out - rooting and ROMming. I had better do it now: rooting promises to become more & more difficult from here on, unless you have a developer edition phone...

I went to Verizon to get the secure element sim so I could try out isis and checked out the phones I hadn't played with yet. I have to say the note 3 really caught my eye. It's a really nice device and the s-pen works great.

So don't know if you guys remember a while back when I was moaning about super slow data speeds on T-Mobile. I'd get a very fast initial burst of speed, and then a HUGE slow down to just a few kbps. It was driving me nuts. I found a work-around by using a VPN at all times, but it was a hassle and meant paying a monthly fee for VPN service.

Well, it seems I'm not crazy, and T-Mobile has listened to its customers and is rolling out a fix.

Choosing T-Mobile over the big red pimple is looking better and better!

:D
