https://www.pocket-lint.com/apps/news/google/135716-how-to-use-adoptable-storage-on-android-6-0-marshmallow But you will have to remember that once you've committed a card to it, it's then loaded with data, so use the biggest card you can for maximum benefitThat's all there is to it. We used a UHS-I card and we haven't noticed any performance difference, although there's the chance that reading and writing to the microSD card could be slower than the original internal storage.
And this two pointers are exactly what I'm not looking for at this time..interesting, though..even I have not seen that "formatting sd card as internal" option in my phone..it's not on it

It cool, im not trying to convince you to fo something you dont want to do. Im just experimenting to see if its even possible. If Im able to do this, it will not be in the same way as in the XDA thread. Most of the members participating have an unrooted device.
At this point, Im not following the rest of the path in that thread. At this point ther goal is different than mine. Its nothing I want. Forinstence, of you open your file manager you wont see an sd card because you formated the whole external sd as internal. NAAAAA!!!
Im perusing something totaly different, like comparing apples to Orges
Is because that system doesn't do the FAT..when you don't do the FAT..that's exactly what happens..your system can't read the FAT because it was left out
I am as bit rusty but I beleive the first partition needs to be formatted as Fat32 and what I remembered as f2fs may have indeed been ext2 or ext4 formatting of the 2nd partition. The third partition, I is not as easy for me to remember the manner I formatted it in. I might have done it in swap format but im just guessing
The swap is the amount of ram you are giving it..
Just keep in mind formatting erases all data. One thing I know is its advised to keep 30% free space and unused as a whole but Im not sure how that relates to partitioning. Partition parts of 70% of the card or partition 100% and just keep 30% unued/free space available in each of the 3 partitions.
Then, I must have partitioned the bertual 1Gb ram in swap format.
Onc I find my 64Gb card I will transfer alo its data toy Laptop then attemp formatting it in three parttitions. If Im successful. Ill manage it with link2SD
In t he manner Im perusing you will see external sd the external sd because its one of the 3 partitions. Their formatting the whole card inone format and as one partition. Its just totaly different and so are the results.
Think of it this way 128Gb external sd.
First partition
64Gb format as Fat32 (viewed by your drvice as external storage.)
Second partition
63Gb format in f2fs (viewed as internal storage)
Third partition
1Gb vertual ram
The way you want to do it is you give to the fat about 90% of the whole card in other words you say you have a 164 gigs so you give to a fat 160 then you give another 3gigs to the extension the one you prefer either 2 3 4 extension the which is the applications and then you give to a swap just 1gig That’s your 164 right there ..
I already did that long time ago and left me s biter sweet flavor..so no thank you
