You have not idea all the things you can do with tasker..
No, I just haven't found a need for it yet.
Tasker is basically a GUI-based Android app of the *nix
cron command--which I started using 30+ years ago. With
cron, from a command line, I automated everything from nightly backups to logging out specific users at specific times. Trust me, when I come across something that would benefit me to automate, I'll be on it!
What I gather from what I've read in the link you kindly sent me to was basically the kernell it's sot of an administrator that controls everything that happens in a computer or a phone in terms of behaviour and functioning..
Kind of...sort of... It's like the foundation of a house--without a strong foundation and great support, the house will crumble.
So..that's to some stand what tasker is..an administrator but it's an app that you tell it to administrate your phone..it does exactly what you tell it to do..
No. As above, Tasker is simply a tool to do things -you- tell it. The kernel is the very
foundation of the device. Two completely, totally different things.
Interesting article..I'm reading it again..
Good! I'm glad. It's a great starting point, but there's plenty more to read if you want to--just search for 'kernel' and dive in!
