Breakfast for dinner (ahem.... brinner), sounds like a good idea. I can actually make a decent frittata since my broiler works, just not the whole oven.
Should be some great spring ingredients available. If I can find some ramps or at least spring garlic, I'm all over it.![]()
Ah, gotchya.
So, how is broiling different to grilling? I mean, my over has a built in grill, but I guess you guys use grill to describe BBQ?

Yes... you can't grill indoors.

Yep, that's a broiler. In restaurant kitchens, we call em salamanders.![]()

I'm so confused, broiling 'sounds' like grilling (uk version) but that in kaats pic is an indoor BBQ but its a broiler? oh boy.![]()

And French fries are French fries, not "chips".![]()
and are called friet or patat. Chips are thin deepfried porato slices.

I'll even accept "frittes".
And yes, mayo is the BEST condiment for fries. I like mixing it with a little ketchup too for a franken dressing.![]()
I love how this conversation is playing out.

Okay, okay, I'll do Ranch.
But! It has to be Wishbone or Hidden Valley. I was stupid enough to buy the Whole Foods brand and it's garbage.
I'm a fan of flavored mayos too. Their still in vogue in DC. Wasabi, curry, garlic, etc.
