area? How much is a gallon of gas in your area? (Or if you want, go ahead n give it to us in liters, we won't ridicule you too much! :p ) 1 US gallon = 3.78541178 liter

I saw it recently for $3.179 a gallon (about $0.83 a liter for our foreign neighbors) and had to fill up. I've seen it as high as $3.789 a few weeks ago. I'm actually glad it's gone down since I drive about 500 miles a week for work. Oh and I'm in the Dallas TX area.

$3.68 a gallon! ......is it sad I actually find that cheap?? I remember when it was 99 cents like 10-12 years ago :(

I remember when I bought my first car, $10 would fill up my tank and last me for 2 weeks. I definitely miss those days.

I've actually read that the price of a gallon of milk (or even bottled water) has gone up more than the price of a gallon of gas in the past 10-20 years. I guess with gas being vital to day to day living if you drive to work everyday, you're going to notice any slight uptick in prices.

I would love to see it drop down to below $3.00, but I know all it takes is a little bit of unrest in some corner of the world for the speculators to have an excuse to raise the price again.

$3.35/gal. here (Eastern PA)

I remember riding along with my grandfather to fill up for $0.29 ... when I started driving it was around $0.50 and then the '70s oil crisis hit and it was rationed until it went up 50%, then all of a sudden there was plenty.

Of course if the true cost of fuel followed the average annual inflation rates we'd probably be paying $8~$12 ... and walking a lot more.

Up here in NorCal I saw it for 4.099/gal. San Jose, CA.

Jealous you you folks that get it for 3.XXX!

Our local supermarket (asda) has just come back down, we are now sitting just below about the $8... If I did my maths right, and the currency exchange calculator had the correct rate!

We are at

it's $3.39 per/gal here in southcentral fla. we also have a winn dixie for a grocery store and they do gas perks for things you buy. they also give you 10 cents off for every 50.00 you spend. publix is a better store but food is food and other stuff is stuff. we don't drive much and i have a company vehicle. so sometimes we have gotten gas for 1.59 per/gal, only up to 20 gals. you have 3 months to collect or whenever you want before then. it just starts over after the withdraw of perks. so all in all you have to shop and prices are comparable, gas perks the way to go!!!!!:D:D:D

Cheapest I can find is $4.199 a gallon. The news just did a story last week about WA state having the highest average gas prices of any state.

Really sucks when you drive a Jeep everyday (but I wouldn't trade it for anything)

Gas in Oz is $3.229 today. Down from $3.50 a couple of weeks back. We get fuel reward points from our local grocery store like mentioned a few posts back. My wife works in their offices and we get double points as a employee perk. With the help of the fuel points I took this pic Dec 20th.

Southern Ga I paid 3.22 a Gallon yesterday to fill up my truck. Good thing for me is I am only 4 miles from my work so It takes me about 2 to 3 days to use a gallon when I'm just going back and forth to work. We have gas perks here to but not like anything some of you have ours are more like if you get gas you can drive if not you can walk see the perk :D

3.44 In central MN

I remember growing up it was like 79 cents a gallon.. I so wish it were the same now... I also remember that the price didn't change every 2 days
