Gas prices?

I filled up a mower and my wife's Jeep with $2.99 regular yesterday.
Drove past the station today and the price has gone up 34 cents a gallon.
Gas here dropped to $2.95 a week or so ago and has stayed right there. I had hopes it might fall some more.
It will... it's kind of a crazy coincidence that gas prices always seem to lower just before presidential elections...
Local gas prices have gone back up to $2.99 a gallon.
$2.89, here.

Only one reason California has a declining population…
Gas was two cents cheaper today. Just in time for me to fill up my mowers. I will put off filling up my truck a few days in hopes that the prices are on a downward trend. It often falls just prior to elections.

I guess I should add that while we also pay ridiculously high prices for gasoline, part of that expense is because the fuel is “reformulated” to reduce emissions. In addition to added fuel expense, the reformulated fuel also results in lowered fuel economy. So we’re burning more (and buying more) gas, but allegedly polluting less.

I have a daughter that lives there and wouldn't migrate for love nor money. I also had an Uncle that walked away from his failing business during the dust bowl days in Oklahoma and migrated to California and opened an auto repair shop and then a number of gas stations. When he retired he moved back to nowhere Oklahoma. I think California is like most places... you love it or you don't.
