LOL, you just took me back 20+ years to college. I had a roommate one year who's father had a great saying. Anytime my roommate would do something less than intelligent, his father would say: "Where's your head son?", and his response had to be "Up my a** dad!", or his father would keep asking till he gave that response.

The best example was the day he drove the tractor into the creek, his dad didn't even have to ask him where his head was that day, he just kept running full speed to the barn to fetch a tow chain yelling:

"Up my a** dad! Up my a** dad! I know dad, it's up my a**!!!!"

edit: if you had seen the tractor, you would've been thinking his father was gonna shove that tow chain up his .... ;)
 
Just so you'll understand, the camera is the most changed piece of software in ICS. It's not just a matter of back-porting new libraries, although that has been a major part of the effort. It also involves changes to the kernel, hwacceleration, and video playback, and figuring out how to support the new panoramic frameworks properly. Currently, armv6 can take a picture, but there is no preview screen because video is still borked, so you don't see anything. But the picture does get taken. ;)
 
A panoramic feature might be in store for the camera? That's cool if true I'm insterested if this works out.
 
Does anyone know if there is a link for the download somewhere? The only one I found in the link provided is dead. I'd like to hop on this band wagon,

The kernel doesn't have the driver for the camera, and without proper sources from LG our devs just have to hack away at it until it works. That's a huge part of why the camera is one of the last things worked out on every ICS Rom. I've been keeping an eye out...
 
How is everybody's battery off charge times with this ICS ROM and what are your settings (ie: Wifi set to never sleep, data and WiFi turned off when not in use, etc.)

Lupohirp has the p500 camera working somewhat. It's boiling down to video, since the camera uses video for preview, and without it you don't see anything in the viewfinder. You can take a pic, but it's shooting from the hip so-to-speak. ;)

And of course, without video, no video recording. (yet)

I tried flashing this but it gave me an error saying it wasn't signed or something to that extent.

Other than the ICS ROM lacking the camera thus far, the ROM runs super smooth with a few bothersome twitches. Very good looking rom, super eye pleasing, and fun. The keyboard doesn't fit all the way in the screen, but I overlooked it and went with it. The browser is beautiful and MMS worked like a charm. I didn't pay attention to what launcher it was loaded with, but I don't think I need GO Launcher anymore. It's customization is what I think to be amazing. One bug I was getting frustrated with, but is just my short attention span to actually figure it out, is when pressing the lock button to send the phone into reboot or recovery, the screen kept locking and I had to tinker with it to give me the reboot option. This again could have been me lacking sleep and my son coughing all night not sleeping a wink. I'm sure I'm not the only one who feels extremely grateful for the hard work that the people who created this ROM put into this job. Thank you thank you. I can't wait for the final product. Love you guys

To get signature verification disabled you need to select the option twice. The first time enables it, the second time disables it. This is what you need.
