Root Ginger Break,Superuser, now what?

Ok, so I downloaded the
IHO-Recovery-Works-With-New-Screens (VM670NH_recovery.img)(rename to "recovery.img")
aospCWMod-VM760-20110531.img
Xionia_CWMA_12518.4_VM_Recovery(zipped file)(unzip this one)
GreenMachineTheme-12072011(zipped file)
gapps-gb-20110828-signed(zipped file)(leave this one zipped)
BACKside-IHO-VM670-12072011.zip(and leave this one zipped?)

Did I miss anything?

Now when I extracted the Xionia file I got a META-INF file and a vrecovery.img
I already have a vrecovery.img file, so what do I do with this one?

Make sure everthing is on the root of the sd card. ROM and Gapps= leave zipped/recovery= unzipped. Ok you may choose either the aosp or VM670NH recovery and rename it to recovery.img
Then open up a terminal emulator and type in this:
su(return)
mount(sp)-o(sp)remount,rw(sp)-t(sp)yaffs2(sp)/system(sp)/system(return)
flash_image(sp)recovery(sp)/sdcard/recovery.img(return)
YOU SHOULD NOW SEE A LOT OF CODE STREAMING DOWN. When done type in this:
reboot(sp)recovery(return)

(sp)=this is were the space should go. Don't type this in.
(return)=hit the return key. Don't type this in.

Then follow the rest of the instructions on how to install the ROM and gapps.

flash_image(sp)recovery(sp)/sdcard/recovery.img(return)
There wasn't any code after this, just a # sign.
Go ahead and type in: reboot(sp)recovery(return)?

You should have gotten this:
mtd: successfully wrote block at b10c00100000
it should have about 14 lines of this with the last part b10c00100000 changing
Then you get this
#

If you didn't get the above code the first time you flashed a recovery then you should be good.
reboot(sp)recovery(return).

If you did get the line of code the first time, then retype the recovery install starting with su.

after
flash_image(sp)recovery(sp)/sdcard/recovery.img(return)
i followed with
reboot(sp)recovery(return)
It didnt show any code and just took me back to the recovery menu. I do reboot system now then go back to the emulator and try it again?

If you saw a recovery menu your good. The reason for my concern was if it didn't successfuly install the recovery you might have been left with no recovery.
Go back to the recovery menu and tell me which version it says it is.

That's the proper recovery. Now you can continue with the ROM and gapps installation. Follow my post I linked you to. When done or if you have any problems let me know.

I doubt this will be the last you hear from me but just in-case, I thank you very much for all of your help.

Is this where I continue?
7. Now you need to do all these things(this must be done when installing a new ROM or restoring a backup)
1.wipe cache partition.
2.wipe dalvik cache(advanced section)
3.wipe data/factory reset. Now that your rooted YOU MUST NEVER USE THE FACTORY RESET IN THE PRIVACY MENU ON THE PHONE
4.format boot,system,data,and cache
5.go to install zip from sd card
6.go to select zip from sd card, chose the ROM first. It will go thru the install procedure. When done go back to step 6. and select the gapps.
When all this is done select reboot system now.

Step 3. wipe data/factory reset

All that comes up is reboot recovery, wipe dalvik cache, wipe battery stats, report error, key test, show log, partition sd card, and fix permissions.
What am I missing?

So I rebooted, saw the little Android guy, now the screen is black. So either I screwed up, which wouldn't surprise me at all. Or my battery died. And if the battery died, just how bad did I screw it up and what now? Is it safe to plug in the charger? Nevermind.

So it seems like everything is working fine. I rebooted twice as stated and now have a question about the apps.

"Reboot the phone twice then set up your apps. Are these the apps that are on my phone right now or the apps that I want to re-install?Once you get everything set up just the way you like it and all your apps are just where you want them,go back into your recovery and make a backup of that ROM."

And I want to swap sdcards. Can I just put all the info from one onto the other or is there a certain way to go about this? If I can just transfer one to the other, do I go ahead and re-install my apps at this point?

If you want to swap sd cards, install the one thats in there now onto your PC. Transfer to a new folder. Then put new sd card in pc and move everything to it. You can delete the aosp recovery and the first recovery you flashed. Just leave the VM670NH you renamed and the Xionia recovery.
Then after you download all the apps from the market and got them situated were you want them, then back it up.
