Gingerbread 2.3 was here, then gone, now it's back

What's wrong with your camera?

It randomly stopped working. Along with my camcorder, & now my app logos won't load and my phone becomes hot for no reason. And it's bring EXTREMELY slow. I'm getting irritated. About to throw it into a wall.

I posted on HTC's Facebook page, asking what's up with the update, that I've not seen it yet. Their response was: "You should be getting yours soon! The carriers are still rolling them out. Let us know how you like it!"

Uhhh...I don't even have it and after all I've read, I'm not sure I am! lol! So of course I replied as such. We'll see what they say...

I did this today and I am so happy I finally plunged into the world of root. I have complete control over EVERYTHING. It's like I have a brand new phone, and this ROM runs sooooo smoothly. A++!!!

People, the solution to all your problems / issues is to forget the OTA and take the plunge to rooting. Seriously, I was so fed up with all these issues, that I decided to find an alternative and found Business Gingersense 3.0

All my problems / issues are fixed. Everything works on my phone, plus I'm using Sense 3.0

Nothing against this user, but how many users of smartphones do not even know about rooting, or this site or others. They have to deal with what verizon sends them as it is the only thing they know about. Not saying they can't/shouldn't/won't look for info but yes there are users that have verizon's software and don't know anything else exists.

Just my thought for the day.

He never guaranteed your phone would still be a "phone", just that it would be "gingerbread"

Alright, sounds like rooting and getting gingersense (whatever that means) is a better solution than waiting for this buggy gingerbread update. I never rooted because I was always afraid of missing out on OTA updates (and blowing up my phone), but doesn't sound like this one is worth waiting for yet. I guess I need to head over to the "everything root" board.

"gingersense" is slang for the next (or more) version HTC's UI "sense"

The OTA (as far as a I know) does NOT update the "Sense" UI.

So your phone will look MUCH different if you go with "gingersense"

Not that's a bad thing per'se, just something to be aware of.

My phone with the bread of ginger has been running phenomalnaly , except one thing............ When ever i try to use my cam it REBOOTS!!!!!!! anybody know any current fixes for it.... P.s. I was stupid and decided to not turn it to s-off
