Just went on the RS website and was ready to purchase the phone for $99, but was wondering why they don't show how much taxes your going to pay says "estimated taxes 0.00. They want you to proceed to checkout, and provide your creditcard info. How are they going to calculate the taxes?

Just an FYI, I was taxed for $500 bucks, so I ended up paying 50 bucks of taxes and this was 4 days ago when the upgrade was $150. It would be great to hear how much people are paying for taxes on the RS Evo now.

Cheapest option without a contract is on Craigslist or Ebay. Make sure if it is a used phone to call Sprint and verify that you have a clean ESN. Do not pay money for a stolen or bad phone.

Probably a repost and I'm sure MANY of you all know... but radioshack has the EVO for upgrade or new customers as long as you bring in a working trade-in cell phone.

I'm prob gonna jump on this either today during lunch or before end of week.

This is instore? Where is the ad at showing this? In my local ad it shows for 199.99 with a free bluetooth headset.

I jumped on this today. On a whim I stopped by Best Buy to see if they would price match it. They said they would, so I bought it there for the Reward Zone points. The RS site said you had to trade in an existing phone for the $99 price, so this way I also got to keep the Hero in case I need it for one of the other lines on my account!

I was going to hold off, but seeing nothing huge on the horizon this seemed like a good deal. Plus, if Best Buy goes crazy and puts the Evo on their free phones list I'll be poised to have them price match me.

After hearing everybody getting much better deals than the $199 from BestBuy I checked out the online add mentioned above at Radio Shack.com. I then went to my local RS where they are also selling them in-store for $99 plus trade of old phone.

So I took a picture of the add and went back to my BestBuy and showed the 2 guys working at the Customer Service Desk the acutal online add and the photo I took. Then I said that I'd be happy to return my $212 purchase from BB and run back over to RS and buy another EVO for $99. They said it makes no sense to do that and just gave me the price match without any additional questions. That makes my holiday cheer even cheerier!

So after all that I only paid $106 for my EVO (that's less than my Hero was). Plus since I bought it on the RewardZone Promo Night I should also receive $40 in RZ certificates. WOOHOO!

Got it at Radio Shack yesterday for $99 PLUS free bluetooth ear piece (had a price on it of $39.99)! Traded in an old Treo 755. Coming from a HTD Hero, which I loved. This is by far a better phone, even though I don't have 4G in my area. For the price, who cares if I have to pay an extra $10 per month!

Sounds like you got a great deal, congrats:)

Actually I brought a white EVO from sprint for $199 minus mail-in rebate and then I found this. I think its only on the black and its web-only, but I could be wrong and wouldnt be mad if i was. Im gonna return it and get this one but wifey really loves her white one. DECISIONS, DECISIONS!!!! I think the offer ends 12/25/10

Take that back $199 evo back...and get one for 99 bucks...100 bucks can take your wifey to a nice dinner....:D;)

Is it $99 out the door at radio shack? Thinking of getting one for mom now! She has never had a smartphone, but she could get rid of her home internet with this thing and it would be cheaper in the long run... if she figures out how to work it! ;)
