the handset upgrade charges on the account.

Whenever a handset is upgraded or activated on the account, a handset
upgrade fee is charged. As you have upgraded the handset on the
account, a charge of $18.00 has been billed.

However, looking at your valuable association with Sprint, I have waived
off the charge of $18.00 plus the applicable taxes from the unbilled
charges of your account. On your next invoice, you will see the charge
of handset upgrade fee as well as the credit of that charge.

Please buy a handset from www.sprint.com to avoid the $18.00 handset
upgrade fee in future.

I don't get it. Is it $18 or $36?

Even if I get charged the "other" $18 I am still happy. I should have gotten rid of my Pre a log time ago.
 
One of my co workers got the evo for 68.88 from wirefly and got her act waived today....thats an awesome deal!!!
 
we just got some evos from letstalk.com they were $125 for the pair shipped and the activation is going to be waved, well we brought them into sprint to have our contact information switched over. the guy there couldnt believe what we paid for them, he seemed to be getting upset over it, and then he took the cover and battery out and said that the phones are refurbs and thats why they were cheaper.. he said that because they add a digit to the serial number or something supposedly. so today i took it into a different sprint store and the guy said the same thing even though i never told him what we paid for them.. they came in the original sprint packaging and everything looked new.. i just did that ##786# and it says they reconditioning info is not available and its hardware 0004..

anyway we really like the phones and the deal was awesome in my opinion.

Alot of Sprint employees will tell you the sky is orange....They talk smart but many dont know nothing. Online places like letstalk and wirefly are cheaper than the sprint stores because they pass alot of the savings on to the customer and in turn have strict terms or extended terms like 180 days to recoup the rest of the money...

That's an amazing price! She got lucky. I just checked Wirefly and the price for new is $119.99 and renew is $169.99.

It's all good tho, the phone is too awesome to take back now :D.

Still an excellent deal I bought my evo for $450 off CL on 5/19/10...so all deals are good to me :D

Funny thing when I seen the price I told several people who wanted to wait to purchase at 68.88 ....now they are mad BECAUSE THE PRICE CHANGED!!!!:eek:

I see Radio Shack has it for $99.99 for new accounts but upgrades are $149.99. Please explain how your $132.95 went down as an upgrade price.

By the way, both prices are Web Only Prices

actually i received a 25 off 100$ purchase coupon via email. the HTC EVO went on sale for 149.99 IN STORE starting yesterday in dallas tx. call you store and ask if you dont believe me. one store wouldnt take the coupon but the second store i went to did.
do i need to take a pic of the receipt to prove it?

I'll probably jump on that $149.99 in store price (buying at radioshackwireless.com while $99.99 carries an additional $300 ETF during the first 181 days) & there appears to be free Sprint activation thru Dec 15th* & I'll try to use the following printable $25 Off Purchase Of $100 in store, thanks for the post Blaznlow:)

*The free activation states online exclusive here but when I call my local store I'll clarify that & any restocking fee (or insist on it with Sprint since you can always exercise the 30 day return..)

I used the link for the $25 off and applied it to the online RadioShack upgrade price of $149.99 (here) and got a expired/invalid error message.

Considering Blowzlow had to go to 2 different Radioshacks to get his coupon to work I would say this is a iffy proposition at best.

Here are the terms of the $25 Coupon:

I was 1 year into my contract. Called Account Services, asked about my ETF. I figured I could pay the prorated charge and just get a free phone on a new line. She said let me see what I can do for you...

1 year into the contract... Brand new Evo - $149.99 + Tax.

Is there any places you know of that I could get one for a decent price without a contract .

Dumped the iPhone and went Android. I purchased 2 HTCEVO4G phones online via Walmart Letstalk for $50 each a few days before TurkeyDay. Do not think deal is there any longer. Want to thank phandroid.com as this is where I found the post.

Screw Best Buy. Radio Shack now has the White EVO. I've been trying to get BB to match RS's price to no avail because I prefer the white one. Just placed my order with Radio Shack, and got a free bluetooth by using the coupon code RSBLUETOOTH.

Interesting thing is that RadioShack charged my card as Simplexity, which is essentially Wirefly.

EDIT - I just called the customer service for amazon, and they gave me a refund for the price difference, i got mine a week ago for the current price HOORAHH
 
Hey Guys, Just signed up to the forums to ask you guys this question. Wirefly has the Evo for $169 with a 2 year service agreement. Does this apply to ANY Sprint line? For instance, I have only had my Palm Pre for 1 year and only get a $75 discount on the Evo through Sprint. Could I just renew through WireFly and get the Evo for $169 today?
