I got it at the Best Buy here near Boston MA. I think all the Best Buys are doing it though.

Was this an in-store pickup?? I went to their website and it is nowhere to be found....
I live in Atlanta and it's saying the phone is unavailable for in-store pickup for about 4 stores....

Yes it was in store. The exact Best Buy here was the Best Buy in Marlboro MA. In the Solomon Pond Mall shopping area. I went in and I was asking if there were any cheap phones for my wife *ducks flying shoe* and they told me that you can get "for equal or lesser price phone for free" and my wife now can't put the thing down. She is very happy with it.

But yes I think it maybe an in store thing.

Well, I called 7 best buys in Georgia and they all said that deal was never on....So it must be a region thing....

Just wanted to add in that Letstalk.com (or through Walmart) has the EVO for $149 with free shipping, and you can knock $25 off it with coupon code 25rafpcver1, for a final price of $124.99. Still not as good as Amazon's $99, but I think its the best deal going at the moment.

Current customers never get good deals from sprint when upgrading their contract. The most you can save is just about $20. what a shame for sprint premier members.

go to StudentRate - Local and National Student Discounts and get upto 15% discount on your monthly phone plan when you get a new contract or upgrading a contract. I got free car charger and $25 off. only bug is that you gotta wait 4 weeks for mail-in-rebate . New customers might pay a little bit more than amazon but saving 15% over 24months is lot more savings than saving $50 when buying new phone. think hard!!!

I just got my EVO on a new business account for $219 upfront with a mail in $150 rebate. This makes it about $69 in the end. You need to use a business tax id and not your SS number to get this.

I called Sprint Business. They have not heard of $69 after rebates. $199 is the best they have.

Yes, then you add tax and get a $150 rebate on top of that bringing the cost to $69. You have to pay upfront roughly $219 with tax and mail in the rebate form that it comes with.

I just got mine this week. Its funny you only have three posts and all three are to me here.

Yeah, it can take a couple billing cycles to take effect, but if you call and talk to Sprint, especially their retentions department, I'm sure you can get the fees waived yourself. Just be polite and courteous and usually its not an issue, especially if Sprint thinks you'll leave just over the fees..

Looks like the same deal I got back at launch JUST GOT BETTER! (I paid $19 more )

Amazon.com: HTC EVO 4G Android Phone (Sprint, Phone Only, No Service): Cell Phones & Accessories

No tax, free 2 day shipping. I literally got mine within 48 hours of placing the order. Still can't believe there were no strings.

Still can't believe what you can do with your evo with absolutely zero service. (Free turn by turn nav for example) Search the threads for my posts on the matter. You'll be surprised. :D

I paid $219 to get the EVO and here is something I was emailed about my $150 rebate.
Once processed I will have paid $69. I XXXX out part of the number for security.

A bunch of places lowered their prices all at the same time from at least $180 yesterday to $150 today: a1wireless.com, cellulardeals.com, amazon, wirefly, tigerdirect etc. Many of them use the same behind the scenes engines to run their sites, but looks like they may sync prices, too?

I ordered one from wirefly with a coupon for a free BT headset (Wirefly Coupon Codes - all coupons, discounts and promo codes for wirefly.com). But first I called Sprint Sales Dept to extend my contract 2 years and to get a $50 credit towards the bill. It turned out to be a $55 credit, actually. Since getting a subsidized phone extends the contract anyway, this credit is a nice bonus without additional commitment.
