Let's take this time to remember those who have died in our Nation's service.

Out of curiosity, who here has served in the military??? I was a Navy bubble head (Submariner).

to all that served or are serving in the military, i salute you all. thank you so much for protecting my freedom and allow me to carry on with my life and not have to worry about the outside world to much. you have no idea how much i appreciate those that serve our country.

my dad served in korea as a gunner on a battleship for the US navy. In fact all of his brothers served in the armed forces around that time. i just found out that one of my uncles also fought in WWII as well. i'm not in the military though, but i put all of those that serve in the highest regards. and i'm just glad that we can celebrate you guys for one day. all of you deserve it.

thanx frenchy for this thread so that i can express my appreciation to the men and women serving for this great nation of ours.

I thank those that gave their lives. I thank their family's for the sacrifice that their loved one made so unselfishly. My gratitude cannot be understood with a simple thank you, but by accepting the gift of freedom that you have honoured me with, with a great deal of humility. Not because I'm owed anything but because you were willing to give to me that which I did not deserve. Thank you.

Please understand today is their day. Today belongs to their families. For all who has served I thank you however your day is Veterans day. Memorial day is for them that are not here anymore and the ultimate sacrifice they made.
