Have you ever looked at a random girl at the mall and just thought...

Maybe a series of commercials where old guys are telling the teen girls (at home), that they support their right to dress however they want.

Then they can give a lecherous look into the camera....

I wonder if that would have any effect at all.

I'm old. Probably about the oldest man in these forums (not completely sure of that of course).

I don't see teenagers as sexy no matter how they dress. I guess that's because they seem like none of my business, and I don't mean that in a negative way at all; it's just that my interests in any "attractiveness" department are confined to women a bit older than that. ;)

Sometimes I guess I see them as foolish in the way they dress, but certainly not sexy.

Sexy means (one kind of) attractiveness, and it has to go along with maturity to come across as attractive, in my opinion.

But kids are kids, they're going to dress for what they perceive as attractive, it's been going on for ages that way.
When I was a teen this is how I thought all adults looked at kids, had known differently I probably wouldn't have worn some of the things I did. Lol

The girls were doing that when I was a teenager, too: tight skirts and sweaters, etc. Nice to look at as a teenage boy. :D

Us guys tried to mess with adults by wearing our collars up, like James Dean or Elvis.. etc. ;)

You whipper snapper!

I don't think she will. She's gonna be little miss sweet and innocent daddy's girl forever. Now if only I honestly believed that, I wouldn't be so worried about when she hits the teenage years. Ugh, I'm dreading it.
I'm with you there brother, my daughter will be 13 in 6 months and i'm trying to be optimistic. Of course only being 30 myself i feel i'm not TOO far out of touch. I took partying over the edge and i am in no way shape or form gonna be afraid to talk to her about drugs and whatnot.
I blame humans.. Look at the cows, you don't see them doing all this crazy shit (sex, drugs and rock and roll)

Hey...you can't say that for sure though! I bet when they see you're not paying attention, they roll up some of the weeds and puff them ;) Where do you think calfs come from, lol and what makes you think they aren't 'rockin and rollin' when they Moooo'
+1 Cows are responsible for shrooms after all
(not that i know anything about that;))

Having at child at 17? Wow. That's really young. It's hard for me to imagine what life would've been like if I had a child in my senior year of high school.

I'm assuming the partying was done before the child and not after?

Unfortunately no. Hard core drinking before, all through High School. Settled down after school when she was born (am actually 31, was 19 when she was born). Then her mother (my ex thank god) pretty much abandoned us for heroin and coke and oxy's and tylox's and crack and needles and... you get the picture. Lost my house, car, everything i owned to her habit. I was not completely innocent in all this but for the most part was to busy working (full time since 15) to **** up much. I eventually started getting 'high' more and generally being an irresponsible parent. Thank god for my parents when i was forced to move back in with them. I let someone else influence me to horrible decisions that not only ruined YEARS of my life but kept me from being a good parent. After way to long it finally dawned on me that my daughter was the most important part of this equation. Long story short, i been clean for 5 years and have custody of my daughter, own my home (just moved into it 4 weeks ago) and am in college. The most important thing i think is to communicate with your children, learn from your mistakes and allow them to learn from your experiences. Kids need to be able to make their own mistakes as well. While my experiences i wouldn't wish on anyone, i would not be the person i am today without ALL the hard times i went through. My daughter starts the 7th grade:eek: tomorrow and i continue to believe and trust in her to make good decisions/choices, and not to be corrupted by her insane mother
/end rant

I think if parents are over protective...not 'too good' but try to shield the kids from the negative sides of society (drugs/sex/crimes)...which isn't really being 'good'. When those kids get older (teens) and start living on their own...they might become curious and do the things they were protected against as kids. Am I making any sense XD Anyways...that's just my thought.
I sort of meant over-protective when I said "too good". Kids who are over-protected and/or spoiled rotten by their parents can turn out horribly.

Take the goody goody Catholic girls that are oppressed until they move out on their own during college. Often those girls turn into the biggest partying sluts you've ever seen. Give them a couple drinks and attention and you get whatever you want.

Just look at all the child celebs who go down the very wrong path to see what spoiling can do. It's because they have everything, think they're invincible, and at the same time "normal" life doesn't satisfy them so they turn to drugs to look for happiness.

The kid.... is wearing......a leash....... And for that lady to say that she is blessed further more is making me blame parents for certain things they can try to control.

If I ever dressed like that EVER! My mom would have beat me till there was no more werewolf in me. LOL.

I ****in' hate furries..... so much. I'm not gonna go into my whole spiel about why, because it would take a page and a half to get it out.

I like this idea!

My daughter is only 3 right now but i know that i am starting engraving in her head that it isn't ok for her to look like "that" (half naked walking around)

I am all for self expression here is me, gauged ears, tattoos, alternate lifestyle (ie vampiric) yes OTD isn't the only one :P...

But when it comes to walking around pretty much saying "here i am easy come sleep with me" that sh!t isn't going to fly. Also this is why i am going to start getting into long range shooting contest and have all my trophys up for when she brings any boys/ girls over :D

And as a last note i will burn any of her less than acceptible clothing :P

I intend to have a bullet engraved with her boyfriend's name on it... Leave it on the mantle for them to oggle when they come over... Why just one? That's all it will take.

It wouldn't ruin the bullet. The engraving would be on the casing, not the actual bullet itself. It would still be perfectly usable.
