Root ****HBOOT Downgrade (Working AOSP and GB ROMS)****

Had to bail back to midnight. Wifi would not connect on DT, apps were not downloading etc. and I didn't have time to wait for it. But I CAN confidently say that backups from 1.75 restore just fine :^)

strange. i have had no issues yet with anything cm related.

i was even able to flash new anthrax with no issues now..like a breath of fresh air compared to sense..dont get me wrong sense is cool. but this is a nice alternative

Got CM9 to boot up, but its already gone through 3 random reboots within the first five minutes....

That is strange. I have not had any issues at all. I am downloading the .72 build that was loaded today. I am going to try a few things for MMS but I doubt they will work. I will keep you all informed.

CM9 DT is working much better now after a couple of reboots. Calls and texts working. Put the latest Anthrax kernel on it without any hitches as well. Smooooth sailing at the moment.

i guess everyones phones really are different.

*knock on wood* i have been able to clock 1700 mhz and no random reboots yet. on a sense rom it would have gone ape shit on random reboots by now

yeah maybe it was the overclock...it was set to max clock freq at 1800 mhz default. i lowered that and will see if it helps. Also, krowley, I applied your MMS fixes, but have yet to test out MMS. It still displays Sprint on the lockscreen though...

I can confirm AOKP M6 boots with Anthrax kernel 3.0.2 :) Great work, Krowley!

Edit: ha! It's been so long since I flashed an AOSP rom that I completely forgot to flash GAPPS.

Does AOKP have everything working (besides I assume HDMI and 3d like CM9)? Also probably a dumb question but is it the same GAPPS as Cm9?

1800 will drop pretty much everyone.

Ijust had my phone on for 6 hours straight testing this

Issues: bluetooth is buggy moreso than just deep sleep mode(as website says) its range seems heavily reduced and it breaks out sometimes

um...thats about it...everything else works perfectly not a single random reboot running at 1.7hghz oc as well, far more stable than anything sense.

There is also another file that I found to swap and that was apn-config in system/etc folder. I pulled it from another working CM VM phone but instead of swapping them, I actually edited the included one to match because it was CM7 instead and I did not want to mess with the formatting. I am transferring to my phone now and will wipe and install in just a few to test. Keeping fingers crossed but, I think there will be more to it. I will be really surprised if it works.

Yeah....I'm also having issues installing apps from the Play Store. Battery life so far is just okay, I'll try it out for a day and see if there's a difference between Sense. I'll see if I can test out MMS, but I doubt it'll work. Hope you'll find a way.

EDIT: This solved my issues

so i successfully flashed this but didnt wanna flash cm9 just yet. so i rebooted from hboot. the phone gets to the vm splash then loops. restored my nandroid and still a bootloop. any idea? i was on jmz's stock rom.

4g isnt working yet..soon from what i understand

Just figured that out reading the thread. Also looks like there are issues with the video camera. Along with the standard no 3d and no HDMI. Too bad because I like the customization of AOKP (I like my centered clock :^))but I want to at least have wimax and video camera working. Trying CM9 again.

Ok so I did not get MMS on DT 7.2. I decided to flash back to 7.1 now. It looks like it may have been a bad merge and the dev is aware. 4G was not working as mentioned above. I am done for the night, but a couple of things to look forward to tomorrow, possible updated/fixed DT CM9, maybe an updated MIUI rom (Sprint OTA based / does not need 1.58 HBOOT so it should work), and if I get brave again I may try to install a Sprint Radio. If you have been following along in another thread, you know I am already running a Sprint PRI and PRL to try to fix fluctuations and the SMS error. I have not received any SMS errors at all since doing the PRI install and reactivating (Also note that I have not been texting today, I have been too busy flashing stuff). I would not call if fixed yet but with some more testing, it definitely does not hurt anything. I would like to see the fluctuations gone for good. One thing at a time. :D
