Hello, I lost my Hubby somewhere in this forum...

I thought if I faked being mad, someone would actually make me a sangwich - one that's bee-youty-full.

*hugs Early * I will make you a Sandwich, mister. ;-)

I sent you a PM, not sure if your mailbox is full.

It's official. Android's last chance at converting wifey is gone, this round. The Epic 4G Touch (Samsung Galaxy S2) has failed, no thanks to TouchWiz.

top complaints:

-cheap, plasticky feel
-user interface very clunky and visually unappealing
-oversaturated colors
-way too big

Looks like the next time we go back to the Sprint store, it will be for the iPhone.

Well, if there were a perfect phone, we'd all buy it.

Meanwhile, choice is good, even if it's non-Android.

The main thing now is to get her to see that because you forced - yes, forced, I say! - to disclose this shocking turn of events to your Android buddies who were always nice to her and just tried to help get your grass cut properly, and that the least she can do is make you a sandwich.

haha, well at least she did try out Android...that's really all you can ask :) So Novoxx, are you the proud owner of the Epic Touch?? lol

She's actually tried out a lot of androids. Obviously she has experience with my two phones: the Evo 4G and the 3D. She's also tried the Epic 4G (galaxy s), the Evo Shift, the Moto Photon, the Nexus S, the Samsung Tab 7 and 10.1, and the Moto Xoom.

She thinks HTC's overlay (Sense) is the best by far. Her comment on Touchwiz was something like: Samsung hired a designer who did some flashy elements, but it just doesn't come together cohesively. She didn't find honeycomb very intuitive to use and hated the 3 on-screen buttons that looked like directional arrows.

No, I am not the owner of the Galaxy S2. I like the screen size. I like the non-pentileness of the screen. That's a huge improvement in my book. Now the oversaturation is actually tolerable. I also hate the look of "fisher price" Touchwiz. I also love high pixel density (probably because I am sensitive to the pixel matrix), so I wish the screen were at least qHD. I hear the next generation of SAMOLED is going really high res.

And given the exploitable spyware HTC is putting on their phones, I might have to take a serious look at Sammy at the next round of upgrades.

If Sammy releases the Galaxy S III, and Sprint decides to call it the Epic 4G Sammich, I will buy it.

At the very least when Android gets to the "S" version, it should be called "Sammich". They disappointed me by calling ICS "Ice Cream Sandwich" instead of "Ice Cream Sammich".

OH wow....your wifie has laid her hands on more Android phones then I have!!! Too bad she hasn't found one she liked so far and continue to go back to her iPhone :( I guess she's not the customizing and fiddling type...well she has you for that I guess ;) haha. I guess with your wife on AT&T, it allows you to play with an array of Android phones.

I actually like some of the Touchwiz features...overlayed with a home replacement app of course, lol.

I thought the SAMOLED HD was supposed to be out this year :( That was how the PR made it sound in the beginning of the year, lol.

I disagree. The ideal name was "Ice Cream." Nobody screams for ice cream sammiches.

But I do like eating ice cream sammiches.

wifey was all over the live blogs during iphone announcement. yeah I think she's pretty much sold on it.

Of all the stuff coming out of the rumor mill, the one thing I was shocked about was the unchanging screen size. I thought the 4" was a shoe-in. Looks like Apple is pretty darn convinced that the 3.5" is the perfect size for a phone.

Siri, if executed well, is potentially the next "revolutionary" feature. When not executed well, it's a joke. We'll see if Apple pulled it off.

Siri is a gimmick, not revolutionary! It is merely a voice prompt before you use voice search features, which have been on Android for a long time now. There is nothing new there, but Apple will be credited with "inventing it" as usual.

And how many times do I have to correct you? It is SANGWICH!:p
