Hi Guys!

I have been out of the EVO game awhile (gave it to my son) and need some advice. For reasons not related to the EVO or Android (LOVE EM BOTH), I am selling it, (carrier BS) and I am trying to get the EVO 4G updated to the latest and greatest ROM for a potential buyer. He has requested Honeycomb, but from my research, I understand that is only for tablets and not fully baked for the EVO4G. What do I need to get this phone on and how do I get there? It is rooted with the following config in Bootloader:

SuperSonic EVT2-3 SHIP S-OFF
HBoot-0.97.0000
MICROP-041f
TOUCH PANEL-ATMEL224_16ab
RADIO-2.15.00.11.19

Thanks in advance,

MikG will be the most up to date rom that will allow a new user to activate the phone.

Roms like CM7, ICS, sense 3.5, Sprint cannot activate the phone with these Roms

Sprint will activate a rooted phone?

Sure they will. They just need the ESN. All they do is check is to make sure it's not marked as a stolen phone or associated with a delinquent account.

Think about it from their perspective. Creating a system to check for a rooted phone prior to activation would cost them just to set it up. And what do they get out of it? Less customers.

I guess i was thinking about the insurance perspective, totally different.

I guess it depends on if you are on a Rom capable of performing the epst codes. As far as being rooted, if you take it into a store it depends on the technician, some refuse to work on rooted phones, some don't care. Sprint really isn't too concerned about rooted phones anymore. :)

Mikg and ra 2.3 is a no brainer. I would also just flash the newest stock kernel, that way there shouldn't be any issues
