Root Help optimus v black screen [new screen]

Your talking VM voice mail?
If you really flashed the S firmware that shouldn't be possible (sound of head scratching).
I've got a brick that I could flash the S firmware to and at least have phone and WiFi, hmmm!
So now you'll have to include the exact steps you did. KDZ updater right/

I'm not sure exactly what i did. If I can find the steps i'll let you know. But yes, the vm voicemail. It was with kp500 utils or whatever.
 
The only bad part is the screens black until it boots all the way up, and to use recovery you have to use android screencast.

Since i don't want to F*** my phone up again, I will have to tell you this by memory.
You need:
KP500-Utils-EN-v0.4.2
LS670ZV9_20.S9_20.P60671.cab
[Optinal] optiauto <- for rooting lg optimus s firmware
1. Rename LS670ZV9_20.S9_20.P60671.cab to LS670ZV9
2. Boot phone into download/emergency mode (volume down+back button+power)<- I think... DON"T Plug it in yet!!!
3. Open KP500-Utils-EN-v0.4.2.exe
4. Type J
5. Type VM670
6. Type location of cab file Ex: C:\Users\Azuidema\Desktop\LS670ZV9.cab
7. Type LS670ZV9_20
8. LG Updater will start, wait untill it ask you to connect your phone, then connect it. Then it should update.
9. If you have the newer screen download Android Screencast
10. use optiauto to root the phone, then use adb to install a custom recovery and then you can flash something like backside iho.
^ Thats what I did. If it works good. If not, not my fault.

If you have the newer screen from the optimus s, download the cab LS670ZVD from:

Rename it LS670ZV9 and move on to #6.
 
Voice and data are handled differently at the telco end. In the shack at the base of every cell tower are a handful of server racks, about a quarter of which handle voice, a quarter takes care of data, and the rest are hot swappable duplicates. The signal for both run down the backhaul to the telco. Once there they are processed by different servers, and sent along to their destination.

Its not really bricked. I can still use it for calls, text, and wifi. I believe its actually missing the dll.
 
I have an Optimus V that I did a factory reset on while it was rooted with gingerbreak. Now its stuck on a black screen. I wish I knew this was a bad idea first... I never got my phone into recovery mode while it was working no matter how much i tried (I did install clockworkmod for my phone through rom manager and it didn't work) But now that my phone is messed up I tried the xionia img thats posted at the top and it didn't work either. I don't know what to do :(
