Root help!

Do you have a custom recovery?

Do you still have S-OFF?

What is your H-boot?

You should NEVER accept an OTA while rooted

If he accepted the latest OTA he may need to go through the htc method now. Sounds like he locked the hboot as soon as he can give us the info Rxpert asked for we can start helping

my h boot says 6.16 and i have s-off the phone works i still have root privelages but i cant flash any roms unless im doing it wrong which i doubt

can you explain in more details what is going on? what happens when you flash a rom? what recovery do you have? which roms have you tried? what are you wiping when you flash a rom?

and i would also recommend that you read these:
http://androidforums.com/evo-4g-all-things-root/486888-new-ota-4-67-651-3-out-do-not-accept.html read this to know why you should never accept an ota while you are rooted.

and
http://androidforums.com/evo-4g-all...ooting-dummies-guide-gingerbread-edition.html just skip the rooting process. this will have all the info you need to from switching recoveries to flashing roms.

i figured it out my memory stick was a class4 and it was messing everything up so anytime this happens i guess you should switch your SD card

ok nice glad you figure it out. but i do not think that is was just a class 4 issue. all of the evos come with a stock 8g class 4 card anyways. it could just be your card had issues. out of curiosity, what card do you have now?

I don't know what the problem was with your class 4 card but i have heard a number of times in here that the Evo tends to have problems with the class 2 card.

Did you test your class 4 card in any way? have you tried using it in a reader on your pc? transfer the data to your pc and perhaps try reformatting the card while in your phone?

We have a guide in here that tells about formatting and partitioning your sd card.
