Hockey fans unite!!! {the All Things Hockey Thread}

I really liked the new alignment. They are trying to keep teams in the same division in the same time zone or off by one. The unbalanced number is going to be an issue for the short term at least. I have a feeling that it will become balanced over time either through expansion or possibly a move. There has been talk about adding an NHL team in Seattle. It would give the Canucks a natural geographical rival.

Also, having every team visit every other team's arena at least once is a great idea that shouldn't have stopped to begin with.

We're back on ice! (finally) I like the realignment a lot! More games with Toronto (and Original 6 in general), less travel time - what can be better? ;) And already 2 wins! (though can't say that I'm satisfied with the quality of the games against Canes and Bruins).

In general, GO WINGS GO!!

I like the fact that everyone will play everyone so that fans get to see the other teams you do not normally see........should be a great season hopefully for my Kings

Going to the home opener tonight........can't wait!!!!!!

That makes zero sense to me. If the coach was on that short a leash, he wasn't making it the season anyway. Why bother letting him start the season? Bring in a new coach in the offseason and let him install his system during the preseason.

He should have been axed before the draft.

Was at the game and I missed that gift of a goal that quickie gave up......I liked the fact that the next time he played the puck, he waved to the crowd to let us know he was on it.......I never seen that before.......lol

Overall a good night though we lost:( Good crowd, had me some beers, great company......so yeah had fun.

Brilliant performance from Tomas Hertl! Loks like he's going to transfer his points and game from Slavia to Sharks without any delay. New Jagr? :)

Where's everyone? The season keeps rolling and the Wings finally managed a winover Canucks (though I like last-year 8-3 more :p). Ready, Flames?

Well, the Red Sox did what the Bruins couldn't.:D

Now that their season is over I can shift my focus to the Bruins and Patriots.:)

The Canucks only managed 1 win against a team who had more wins than total losses. So far they played way more games against teams with losing records than winning records.

it is amazing how one month can do for a hockey club. one month ago we were 9th overall in the western conference.....if the playoffs were to start then we would have been out......flash forward to now and we are one point behind the ducks for 1st place in the pac division and tied for 3rd in the western conference.

.....all this with our backup goalie (scrivens.....aka the professor) for the last 4 or 5 games now.

GO KINGS GO!!!!!

Scrivens is amazing for the Kings this season, that's true.
What happened tonight to Kings? Devils had something like 5 shots after two periods, and still they won... BTW, Jagr scored another winning goal #legend. Brunner proves he thought too much of himself when turned down Wings' offer.

And Red Wings finally managed to end the losing streak and win against 'Canes - great!

i did not notice your avatar....is that new? pretty cool even though it has a redwing jersey:mad:

yes scrivens has been amazing......though at first i did not think much of him as i did when we had bernier. i'm very pleased he is playing well when we need him.

and that goal with jagr was solely dustin brown's fault. he was out of position and got turned around by that old man:mad:

yeah we dominated that game, but was stopped by a hot goalie(cory schnieder) and an old man (jagr). the game should have been ours as we out shot them 35-12!!!!!!

oh well at least we got a point and now we are tied with the ducks at the top of our division.

now to see if i can get tickets for the outdoor game at dodger stadium....wish me luck;)
