Root Homeless Kernel 1.0

Well i bet turning off data helps him a lot under 4g all day it wil only give me about 12 hours with medium use.

See the deal with me is why the heck do I need 4g on when i am not using it. I have a toggle on my home screen to just turn it on and off as I need it. I still can make calls and send text messeges, Dont need 4g for that.

Well with me and I'm certain other people, one good thing about having 4g on is getting notifications for apps such as facebook, gmail, twitter, updates on apps, rss feed, etc... There many other reasons but everyone has their own way of using their phone. To each their own. I bought this phone because I wanted something that was going to do everything that it said and it does that and more. I also bought this phone expecting it to suck major nut sack on battery life(Evo 4g was terrible too lol)

Thanks for the great work Kanaida.
I've had this question for awhile now: What benefit would somone have putting Homeless Kernel over an overclockable ROM?

Hi guys,

I'm new to the forum but I've been watching this thread for a while and I've been unclear on whether or not this kernel works on ZVC so i decided to take the leap and flash it anyways.

I flashed it over PGs GSE II ROM with no issues and so far its been running for just a couple mins but I already like it. Its very responsive and as far as battery life I haven't had a chance to notice a difference yet but I'm sure it will be phenomenal.

Keep up the great work guys!!

bro... this 1.3 kernel... really... is... the... SHITTT!!!!!!!!!!!! OH MY F****** G-D.... Ive never seen anything like this before. sorry for the foul language but holy shiiiii!!!!!!!! Kanaida you are like a huge savior lol but dang, you are the man. Thanks for putting your time and effort. the 1.3 kernel is giving me so far 9 hours and im in 90% with the extended medium use. some internet. texting. THANKS BRO!

Thanks man :) the hallarious part is that I still see lots of places where I can cut power usage, possibly another 50% extra hahaha maybe lg should send me an undisclosed amount of cash to improve their products. *wink wink*

Thanks for the great work Kanaida.
I have been using the 1.3 version since you released it and i have to say WOW!
This with my 3600 extended battery does wonders for my phone.
At this moment my phone is at 80% with 7hrs of run time(3-4 phone calls, 5-10 txts, check facebook now and then)
Thank you again and hope to see your next great work!

lol its lasting so long now that testing is spanning days just to find out if it was an improvement or not when I make changes :) I'm officially removing my extended battery. It's way too big and heavy, lasts too long for tests hehe Just gonna leave it for weekends away from home now.

I figured it out. Kernel works perfectly but when I use google maps /tootle navigator that's when my phone goes to shit and reboots. Like it cant handle it idk

OMfIBPfM

Using mostly wifi, with light use. Its only at 50% so it could probably go for 2 straight days and get me through most of a third. Using a 3500 mah battery.
Since I've got my tablet I don't find much use of my phone except to actually use it as a phone lol
During the time I've been waiting to take the screenshot I've only really used it for calls, a couple texts, and the occasional Web browsing when I don't have the mini computer at hand

Tootle or Google? lol... I'd try clearing the data for it, under settings \apps
