Root Homeless Kernel 1.0

Not to offend or anything but my extended battery goes 12hrs with 64% left. With 4g usage and few calls wifi and texting and surfing and etc. Clocked at 1.6ghz. I just want this kernel with oced capability. :)

While I do use and like this kernel, the biggest battery saver for me is any app that turns off data/wifi when the screen is off. I could see how some people wouldn't be able to do that if they stream music or something, but HD will sync to email etc at regular intervals and still turn data off the rest of the time while the phone isn't being used.

men I tell you those numbers are nice I get 16 to 17 hours average under wifi and 4g with medium use I am about to give up lol

Taken at 11:30 with 60% battery
On stock battery.

Hey guys 1.3 as promised, link on the first page :)
Battery life is much better now that i fixed something.

I gotta experiment with the overclocking, not sure how to add it in there yet. trying to learn from PG's kernel code. I tried to use git to commit my changes to my repo but it's giving me some strange error, who know what happened lol.

So what exactly do you do on your phone to make it last so long. More specific do you keep data on and what settings as far as brightness, wifi, Bluetooth do you have on if any? I usually keep data off and use undrrclock screen off settings in set cpu. Also do you use the stock or extended battery?

Can you flash over 1.0

Ps...I am still waiting on that refund lol :P

Just flashed v1.3. I will give my input when im done testing it. And i noticed that once i flashed it my phone rebooted very quickly, im using the stock Lg Rom.

Ahh reading answered my question:D What exactly was it that you fixed:confused:

I accidentally compiled a configuration with just the new stuff but not the stuff already in 1.0, this one has all the 1.0 stuff + the changes. That's why it was less battery life.

I just did GingerSteem1.0 + my optimizer + homeless 1.3
I'd imagine any rom would work just as well as the base before flashing the kernel though. Only for B version roms, although it may work on C, but I can't confirm that myself.

No I hate those things, they can cause issues with your data forcing a reset. I just turn data off when im not using it. I still get texts and calls, just cant surf...not that it matters when im working, driving,or just not using my phone.

Ick gse 1.4 hybrid, really nice rom, screen shot, stock launcher only better.

Do you keep data on or off? That was a really fast boot...I flashed 1.3 but I am not sure if it took.

Jt says 13 at the end so I am guessing thats 1.3..

This is by far the best kernel I I flash 1.3 34 min agao and still have 100 % that's with texting and some browsing thanks for the work

That's how many times I've compiled it :) pure coincidence it matches the 1.3. Ubuntu-vm is the name of my virtual machine that I use as a sterile environment with the sole purpose of creating android stuff.

Oh and nice wallpaper up there :) I got something similar that I took myself with camera zoom fx, but sorry guys promised not to share those lest my special rights ;) be taken away haha

As for data. I don't use any other apps for power saving so data, wifi, gps, bluetooth are always on.
I unplugged from charger yesterday morning, didn't charge since even when I slept, woke up today, 44% batt left.
