que? everyone in that thread is assuming there are some legal issues to be worked out, nothing wrong with the actual function

When I linked it there were no replies and the mod said it was bricking phones...
The users posting it say that's not the case so okay.. but at the time it was the only info to go on.

im running the theoryof ginger_B1.6.5. and it is running great. Ive tried all the gb rom and this is the smoothest on my phone. i cannot go to froyo again. everybody should try this rom out. it is very fast and the themes are great also.

that one slipped under my radar... perhaps we can separate the GB and Froyo roms on the sticky thread?

gonna install it in just a sec here... thanks!

I've been running this for about 2 hours now and I agree with everything you have said.

This is my first GB rom. Installed it this morning. Why I didnt move to GB sooner is beyond me. But I am glad I did.

quick question. Are you able to get Netflix to work on this rom? I can get to where it will stream the movie and sound but no picture, just a white screen.

Not a deal breaker since I have netflix on my NC.

Also, how is the radio switching from 4g to 3g?

I hear about the possibilities...but I don't hear a lot of people with bricks...hmmm...

Been on GB BAMF Remix for several days now...no issues other than the camera lag sucks even at 1.4 GHz.

just installed this last night
OC'ed to 1.4GHz, too
and yes. camera still sucks.

only 1 reboot so far (knocks on wood)
I completely wiped/formatted the data/cache/dalvik 4 times to get it to install properly--but in the end it was all worth it.

there's a patch available from XDA to resolve the WhiteScreen issue--try this
there's also an xda thread with a working Netflix .apk for those of us (mine would always say "update required") that replaces the system Netflix on GB DasBamf 2.0.5Remix available here. installed, works for me.

Been on GB 2.0.5 with Sense 3.0 Pr3 and downloading PR4 now. So far, I haven't heard of any "bricked" phones yet. I think it was an effort to stop people from using the radio because it had information that identified the person that released it. I am LOVING this ROM except for the choppy video recording.

Adrynalyne bricked his phone a couple if days ago and from what I've heard...two other people have as well.

Adrynalyne was using the GB radio but in the MR2 Froyo ROM and had flashed a new kernel. A couple of reboots later it was bricked.

Now he said he was almost positive it was a hardware failure. I'd say that user error is out of the question.

But I'm not sweating it. 3 Bricks and no one can prove the GB radio caused it.

This.

I think we are becoming an overly cautious bunch at times.
I went right back to froyo and hated it every day.
Back on GB after 2 days of that hell and have been ever since without issue.

If I brick... I brick.
I can just re-activate my X until I get another bolt. :D

Yeah I agree but these are expensive devices so I understand being cautious.

Being cautious and being paranoid are two different things. :)

I wouldn't judge if someone wanted to stay on Froyo. Just like I wouldn't judge if someone decided not to root because of the risk involved.

On the other hand...the official stock ROM might be the most unstable ROM available for the bolt right now :D
