Help How to get back touchwiz?

Android Enthusiast
Hello everyone! First of all I would like to say that I am new here and the Galaxy S3 is my first phone, so it's my first Android phone as well!

Recently I was getting frustrated and impatient hearing that Samsung won't release Kit kat to the Galaxy S3 (my phone used to have 4.3), so I went ahead and uninstall Cyanogenmod 11 which is pretty much stock android and it's 4.4.2... but now I hear they are starting to release the update and I just want my phone to be unrooted and back with Touchwiz the way it used to be (plus I won't be able to sell it in the future this way, oh and the camera refuses to work)

So if anyone out there could help me, I don't know is there a file that is hidden on my phone somewhere? Anything at all? Please I just need some help.

Thanks.

Oh, and my phone model is SGH-i747 and my carrier is Bell

You could download a stock ROM and flash via Odin..mobile or PC but first you need the stock ROM

Yeah since you were on 4.3 when you flashed it, the warranty is technically void.
When you flashed CM, it formatted system so the stock rom (touchwiz) is gone.
Use the guide Dontpanic gave you.
Find the stock rom for your carrier version of s3 on sammobile.com/firmware.
Theres no bugs in them, theyre all official

Thank you!!! Is there a way to save everything onto my computer? Contacts, he screen layout, etc. And how do I unroot it? How will I know what I am doing is right or not?

Can I update it when kit Kat does come out?

Dontpanicbobby gave you the link to a guide.
You really have to read and understand that.
Touchwiz is no longer on your phone, you replaced it with Cyanogen.
Now you have to download touchwiz (stock firmware) to your PC and follow the instructions in that guide on how to use Odin to flash the firmware onto your phone.
That will replace (remove) Cyanogen and install touchwiz.

Please please read the guide fully or you could end up with an unusable phone.
Don't do anything until you understand it.
We can help you through it but you really have to read

Currently my phone is useable, so I am thankful for that...

I would use the guide but it's too confusing and so many different ways to do it, does this forum have a chat I can use?

No but I had a scan through that guide and it looks really good.
I'm not willing to talk you through it step by step because, no offence, but right now I don't want the responsibility of you bricking your phone by you not following the instructions.
Try reading the whole thing and then ask any questions you have about it.
It's really not hard, just a lot of reading

Firmwares | SamMobile okay so I searched up my build number (SGH-i747), does it matter which I choose? (not gonna do the ones that end in M) only two on there have Samsung Kies and one of them doesn't even list the version of Android it is...

But I don't live in the USA, so should I pick the default one that doesn't even say what version it is? Does it matter which version it says if I can do an OTA update for it later on? (I don't want to do it in a complicated way that involves downloading stuff on a computer to my phone...)

After I do all the reading at the top, do I just go the the part that says "unroot Galaxy S3" to get started? Can't I just copy the file to my phone through my laptop and install it via recovery mode? I dunno in Odin it may not let me do OTA updates... Or is Odin required to unroot it?

funky i thought once you were on 4.3 you couldnt downgrade because phone will brick so doesnt he need to use 4.3 firmware.
also to op there should be a rooted 4.3 stock rom for your carrier

It's gonna get bricked?... O.o

I don't really care if it's rooted or not, I just want official 4.3 touchwiz back that works and can do OTA updates :P

not scaring ya by no means just wanna make sure you dont get bricked..
i thought i read somewhere if you downgrade os that it could happen just wanna confirm it....im sure we will get you squared away....just read read before you do anything check here in the forums or xda

So, this is what I assume I am gonna do so far...

1. install the file on my laptop
2. unzip the file?
3. connect phone to laptop and copy the file to phone
4. go into recovery and install file
5. Figure out how to unroot it somehow...
(I just hope I can install updates OTA and won't be needing to download it through my computer...)

I'm scared about the bricking part though O.o

I got a problem... I tried downloading the file twice and both times it's said "cancelled"... it refuses to download,

could I use this: How to downgrade Galaxy S3 back to Android 4.1.2: tutorial [Update] - AndroidPIT

instead?
