sorry Jeff, you lost me....
Andro- go to your contacts and press the menu button on your phone.
tap "more" then "Manage contacts" then "backup to sd" it will make a folder called "contact" on your sd card. put that on your pc before flashing and transfer back on when you're set up.
to resoter get to where it says "backup" but select "restore from sd"
Sorry I lost ya, but I see Fulci got what I was saying. I was saying, if he loses his contacts when he redoes the phone, they are not syncing back to him from the "Cloud", which means when he said "add contact" it gives the option "Phone OR GMAIL" as to where to put the contact.
He was putting all his contacts on his phone. If He put them on the gmail, everytime he reformatted whatever the entire phone they would sync and come right back. But if they were on the phone they go w/ everything else.
I was just too wordy, as usual...LOL...Sorry....BTW: Same goes for Calander events, put them w/ gmail NOT on the phone.
I Don't know if Metro has this same option? But that's what happened.....
Sorry for the late reply on this one....still going crazy w/ this thing...
Ready to go get the new one Cricket has out. Thing is, It's no better than this except it's 2.2. Not enough other upgrades to make it worth the cash, I would just be paying 175$ or whatever to have 2.2 and that's it.....best to wait I guess.
Off the subject sorry to the OP, but I do think by best option at this point, I want to get a Droid X or something with maybe a bad ESN (so it's cheaper) or even a godd ESN, just no contract but cheaper and have it flashed to cricket. (Only thing then, is those companies often put special ROMS so they work well with Cricket, so I wouldn't be able to play with it like now????), just thinking out loud...
Oh well...take care...Jeff
