is it supposed to be one file with the data, meta-inf, system, boot img, and other stuff inside of it, or do i just need to put all of those files on my sd card?

i have no intention of dinstalling the chineese 2.2, am going to give icarus another shot. just hoping it works this time( as in i dont F anything up again.) btw thank you for your patience and understanding

No problem, just do the backup again.

Do not put each file individually, put the entire folder named Icarus (do not unzip) Right click on the Icarus folder and click copy, then go to Computer from Start Menu and right-click the sd card and click paste. Thats it. thats how you put it in the main folder

okay on the choose zip to apply part of installation. when i click it, it has me choose from data/, meta-inf/ and system/. where do i go from here?

Xmoose, did you copy the Icarus folder or each file individually? I think it is because you unzipped the Icarus folder. You need to reboot again, connect phone to computer and place the unzipped Icarus folder in the SD card.

it wouldnt let me copy folder over, so i madea new folder named icarusmod and put everything in it, might have been because i unzipped it first though

Yes, the instructions say to not unzip.

ok have finally got it working, the folder must not be extracted otherwise it wont work, futher more you must go into your temp file and grab the folder to bring it over, creating your own folder and putting everything inside it will not work, thanks everyone.

yeah, so far well worth the frustration

That is great. I will post instructions soon on how to revert back to the original state, if you can't live without MMS. I posted a fix though on the 3rd post. I don't think you wanna go back though to stock:D

no not at all, btw how do i configure the apps2sd thing? it said instructions will be included on the 2nd post, but i cant seem to find them

I think it worked, but my phone is stuck at the Android droid, and it's appearing and disappearing. It's been like this for over 5 mins...What does this mean?

Don't turn it off. If it has the Android logo with a light going over it, it means the dalvik(sp?) is reinstating itself. This is the final part. Let it run.

It takes that long initially. Do not worry as long as you did the wipe data/factory reset and wipe cache partition as described towards the end of the 1st post

Not too sure then, Xmoose. Once the file is in the folder, it should be all the way on the bottom of your OCW menu when you go to install from zip file.

Hey there voxenn, I have already solved Xmoose's problems if you have read the previous posts. He already has Icarus up and running.
