everyone has their own likes and dislikes. I've used ubuntu "OOO-BOON-TOO" off and on for years. and other forms of linux before that. Tried Mac for two weeks packed it back up and took it back.

windows only has gaming and a ui a turnip could use and most likely hack. Linux ui might be lacking to someone stuck in a Windows world, but windows can not touch linux. The internet runs mostly off BSD and linux ;). Windows is full of security holes, only way to fully secure a windows machine is to not turn it on. ;)

Oh and most the movies etc you oo000oo and awww over how great the effects etc are were done on a mac. ;)

win8.1 pose to bring back the start button and booting direct to desktop.

OSX isnt bad unless you just been raised on windows and not really gave anything else a chance... or a big gamer. now its not my prefered OS either, but I would still love a MBP or a PowerMac Pro ($10k+). lol

apples hardware is top. but their OS sucks. the dream machine would be apples hardware running win7

I hate CGI. looks like crap. lol

like i said, everyone has things they like and things they don't.:D

even though we disagree on what platform is better. I still like and respect you. you do a lot for us with out expecting anything in return.

now on topic. i agree this phone is finicky with rooting. you can try once and get root or try 50 times and something finally clicks. weird
 
The steps I take to re root and and restore.

1.put phone in download mode and re flash stock firmware.
2. Factory reset phone. (If I don't do this the exploit program says can't write superuser. Probably because there is tidbits left behind im guessing)
3. Root. Sometimes it takes ruining the exploit program twice. But always sticks the second time.
 
Cannot get my phone to be rooted tried spirit away motochopper. Please look at pic and if so can someone kindly walk me through the steps.

You sir, are a genius!

After my phone failed to reboot after displaying "failed to open..." dialog messages when attempting to open some apps, I had to use the "Unbricking/Unroot/Return to Stock LG Spirit 4G"

Problem was the I couldn't Re-Root my phone again.

I couldn't figure out why. It's so simple to do, yet it would take until I read your post and tried the "USB Tethering" radio button.

After that, no problem.

Hello im new here and i just bought my LG spirit,and i was curiuos if this fails will my phone be bricked? or can i still use it,or can i fix it iif it gets bricked im really worried about my phone,and this is my first android phone,so im not sure if i want to root it if it fails,please write back. Thank You
