No idea about 4G effect on battery life, but my battery life is mindblowing.
I know I posted this question in another thread, but I was wondering how long the battery takes to charge after it's dead, or close to it?

Lee, that does sound amazing , it is strange though that when watching handset reviews of the GN2 I keep a close eye on the battery indicator and it usually goes down by a few % points in a 15 min video with the screen on and apps being opened closed . Perhaps there are cuts in the video but 3% sounds ridiculous ...thats 30 hours of screen on time.
I was kind of surprised when I woke up this morning and saw that my phone's battery has dropped from 41% down to 25% just by having it in sleep mode for 8-9hours! is this normal? If so, are all my apps running in the background and how can I improve the battery life.
This beast of a phone is my first android phone since I switched from iPhone 3gs so I have no experience with android devices.

That doesn't sound normal to me at all. I don't remember what my droid x got in sleep mode, but my galaxy nexus generally only loses about 10-15% overnight when not charging, and I consider that phone to have pretty bad battery life.
Perhaps there is an app that is preventing it from entering sleep mode. There is an app called cpu spy that will tell you if and how long your phone is entering sleep mode.

.
Can you imagine what it'll be like on a Seido extended battery?
Deplorable! I will never again in life buy another Seido extended battery. I bought one for my Evo which Seido swore was an extended battery and I got no better time with it than the standard battery that came with the phone.
I feel like I'd been duped.
Depends on the reliability of service in a persons area also. A phone can be in "sleep mode," but if the signal is not good, then the phone will continue to drain searching for service. I know many people that put their phone in airplane mode, when they go to sleep.
For me, I've had a 10-15% drain (the above mentioned drain was only 16%) for both my EVO and Photon, so it really doesn't sound out of the ordinary. But, I will preface that by saying that, I do have emails pushing directly to my phone (constantly) and data turned on all the time, as well as other apps that run in the background.
Ha, you're right, I should have read that a bit more closely
Does seem pretty high, but not completely out of reason, especially if that person is in a poor signal area; btw, leaving wi-fi on (if you have a decent connection) can actually help with that to an extent as well.
