But does it fit ok ?

And would it be possible to remove that Nexus One badge ?
 
It's not a perfect fit I don't think, I'd very much like to see one specifically designed for the Desire to see the difference. Also I expected the cover to come over the 'chin' as they do on most of the Hero silicone cases.

Any chance you could take some pics with the case actually on the phone?

unfortunately no as the only camera I have on me is my phone! It fits Ok, but i just thought it would have a part that comes over the chin. Also, the power button is covered up which seems a bit odd. I might just keep it for now and wait until HTC release something official but it does annoy me having the nexus one on the back, I don't like that at all. I'll try and take some pics tonight, unless I decide to send it back.
 
Ok, I've had the Flexishield from Mobile Fun all day now just to see what it's like. It's not too bad and does definitely do the job reasonably well. BUT what I have noticed is that the bottom slips so that the headphone input becomes covered, this appears to be happening because of the chin too. As i said it'll do for now but I will def by a Desire specific one should they come out. I'll take some pics later and post up.
 
Argh, i had an email from Mobilefun that my order is on backorder.
I bloody ordered it 3 days ago !!!

Not happy. So might cancel now and get a Nexus One version.
 
i'm using a krusell luna pouch for now, but hate having to take the phone in and out all the time to use it
think i'd prefer to have a decent screen protector and then something separate just for the body

The photo of the silicone case is crap quality so you can't tell if the chin of the desire is covered but it doesn't look like it is, therefore it's no better than the N1 silicone case IMO.

I've had this for an LG Arena (KM900) and it is pretty good. The screen protector made no real working difference to the touchscreen (which is nowhere near as good as the Desire's) although it changes the feel somewhat.
Whilst I'm not claiming it will protect from bad dropping accidents, I have been somewhat lax with caring for my Arena (plenty of mishaps) and when you peel it off the fone looks good as new (i.e. unscratched, unbashed etc) and it even seemed to soak up the scars from dropping it in a rough sealed carpark.
I will say that it's a fiddly f****r to apply, and it took me a couple of attempts to get it near enough right (I doubt it would ever be perfect). But, once it's on it doesn't seem to go anywhere/peel unless your young child has a go at ripping it off! The only other issue I had was that there was no cut-out for the proximity and ambient light sensors, and I had to recalibrate them through the 'hidden' service menu.
In general, I'd recommend them, and am tempted myself, but I do have doubts that maybe I should go for something a little more 'impact protective' for the back with one of their screen protectors on the front... then again I do like the 'naked fone'--maybe a screen protector and a pouch? aaaargh, I cant make up my mind!!:confused::(

None of the items except the InvisibleSHIELD show an HTC Desire in their product image. I'd be cautious about buying.

For anyone who's interested, these are the only products I've been convinced to buy so far:

Hi guys, just adding these pics of my Mofi leather case that arrived today.

Very pleased with it, nice quality and a good fit.

 
I noticed MobileDen last week, but avoided it for two reasons:

1) Nothing is in stock.
2) NIS doesn't recognise it as a safe site.

To be fair, a lot of places don't have cases in stock and NIS doesn't state it's an unsafe site, but I still was a bit wary.

DOH! Should have read better. I thought it was a different one.
 
Well the website does say it is for the Desire, although the pictures are of the Nexus One case, I was hoping that they just used that case because the Desire one wasn't quite available yet, obviously not. Also, I ordered Black and got a clear one, everybody's useless.
 
I've just cancelled my order. Thanks for the info guys.

Totally annoyed at mobile fun, it's almost diliberate deception :(
 
Yes I think I was just hoping that what would be delivered would be a specific Desire case, not sure whether to send it back or not yet though as I can't be bothered with the hassle and it does 95% fit. Here are some pics of it on my phone.

This is the one I got and I really don't recommend any one get it to be honest it's a bad fit in fact I stopped using it as my phone was making creaking noises with it on that it doesn't make with it off! I wrote a very strong email of complaint to mobile fun and left a really bad review of it neither which have been responded to yet.
 
iv got this case, and it is not worth using,im using it till my flexishield arrives(it came today but did not hear the door)it just doesnt fit or feel right,and its all because of the chin, it stretches the case to much, so it doesnt feel right, hope u guys orderd the flexishield as well,post your thoughts if u got it, cheers
