Root HTC Evo rooted help plz

ok i rooted my phone a while ago but i just now figured out the potential. so i tried to make my phone faster and make it save battery but in the process i messed something up. i used the bakedsnack thing and yea. now i can txt and recieve txts but when i call someone i cant hear the ring and then if they answer the phone which i dont kno if they do bc i cant hear them and they cant hear me. plz help. i need this fixed asap.

ps. i need step by step instructions. im new at this.
 
always make a nandroid backup before you flah or make changes to your phone. also i would do a full wipe and re-flash your rom and see if that works.

Moving forward, always make a nandroid backup prior to making any major changes to your Evo (ie: flashing a new ROM, kernel, or mod), just in case anything breaks on you or you don't like the new changes you just implemented.

I would try performing a full wipe (factory reset) and reflashing baked snacks. If you're still experiencing the same problems, try flashing a different ROM and see if that fixes it.
 
well i did that. i kept factory reseting it and then flashing the rom again but it wouldnt change. so then i found another one and flashed that one and it still isnt working. idk what to do.
 
you need to also wipe dalvik cache as well. that maybe your issue. i believe in cw it is found in the advanced option. i could be wrong but it has been awhile since i last used clockwork mod.

edit: also try cualkin's formats all .zip http://www.mediafire.com/?ikylelx99c49133. it automatically wipes the necessary partitions for you. just flash it like you would with a rom in recovery. i wipe manually wipe cache and dalvik cache then i use caulkin's just to make sure i really have a clean slate. it is a little over kill but i have zero issues.
 
It sounds more like a glitch and not related to the root. Just reboot and see what happens. Do you have a bluetooth headset?

The evo is awesome/terrible (depending on what you want) at connecting to the BT headset. I love this but when I dont want it to go to headset it does and I cant hear anything on the phone.


I think its simpler than we think.
 
no i dont have a bt. its not that simple. i have tried rebooting it and updating everything. it still doesnt work. i am trying what the other guy said to do.
 
weird. not sure then especially if happens on other roms. you may have want to try and unroot it and see if stock is the same way. unfortunately i have to do some family stuff for easter, but i should be back later on this evevning. i will stop by here and see if anything has changed. maybe someone else can pickup where i left off. happy easter!!
 
i have tried three different roms. but i mean if u kno of any that r good then tell me plz. lol. also give me step by step instructions on what to do plz.
 
Ok so where do we stand? You went to recovery and wiped boot, system, data, and cache, then flashed the rom?
