there is no hard menu button on a evo unless u mean the menu button at the bottom and i pressed that and there isnt an option to update profile.

Someone help him do a data profile restore in the ##data# menu...I have to go for now, sorry gf is dragging me out...to da beach!

there is no soft or hard menu button. there is the one that is on the bottom of my evo and that is it.

Yeah I don have that menu on my rom so its hard for me to tell exact steps...oooh go thread dedicated to 3g speeds it will tell you...hang on maybe I can find it

ok thats cool but how is that gonna fix my problem? i can make phone calls it just wont let me hear them or them hear me.
Aside from physical issues, that's about the only thing that will transfer from ROM to ROM (as it's at a lower level). Can you hear anything out of that speaker at all? Have you tried putting it on speakerphone?

yes i tried speaker phone and i tried hooking head phones up but nothing is working.

im not having any physical issues. sound one transfer from one phone to another. both ways. it wont even ring on my end.

Not sure that's necessary yet, but I guess we'll see.
I highly doubt rooting was the cause of his issue though it will likely did it unless it was hhardware

Well once he runs the ruu it'll return all the partitions to default changing whatever he effed up. If its hardware then no but apparently he did everything we suggested correctly so...
my suggestion earlier was to unroot and see if it is still an issue. if it is then it is a hardware issue and he can take it in to a sprint store. if the problem was fixed by going back to stock then he can re-root and the issue would be behind him.

yeah i agree as well but i think it is a pretty easy process once you know what you are doing. and it only takes seconds to do.
