htc going to help us fix our "unofficial" updated phones

ive noticed on .3 if you leave an app in landscape. then go back in in portrait, there is a 3-4 second lag to switch that app back to portrait, on my dads .6 its instant. both g-sensors calibrated

I've seen the same thing reported here for .6 too. I don't know what's causing it.

I tried that and it's instantaneous in my phone (running .3)
 
maybe .3 has some secret hidden powers and getting .6 takes it away. That would be a shame, because I like having those secret hiddeen powers.

My god, its the same damn software!!!

Outside of the current inability to update your software to .6, which means ABSOLUTELY NOTHING in the real world, this is the real deal.
Can we all get on with our lives now????
 
I think there seem to be MORE problems with the official build, and it's entirely possible that the number of people that did it officially is about the same as those who've gotten it officially so far.

I'm keeping .3 as long as I can.

How can they one says .3 the other .6 . You should know by now for some its bothers them knowing the number is different. Nothing else but that number. They feel like people with .6 like me are giving them this face :p while they get more :mad:
 
I'm not in a hurry to get .6 since nobody knows what the difference is yet, but I'd like to get .6 since .3 users likely won't be able to get the next update when they come out with it. So hopefully HTC gets all of us "unofficial" users caught up.

Nothing yet. They said they would get back to us in several days. No rush though since .6 has basically nothing over .3. The only reason they are going to update us at all is so we can receive future OTAs.

They should of just pushed out .3 then...*shakes head at htc*
 
I haven't had the time to read threads today and I'd like to know a few things for the people with the official update (.6)

Even though my unofficial update is running smooth and fast, there are still a few things that DON'T work yet.

- Viewing pictures in slideshow in my HDTV. Can someone confirm if someone can view pictures on your HDTV?

- Auto update for apps is NOT working for me. Now, I don't know how long does it take for an app with automatic update to update itself, but I've had a few apps that needed update and NOTHING has occurred.

I just recorded something here at my residence and I can say that recording in 720 does look way better than before. At first I couldn't see the difference, but there's definitely a difference than before. More smoother/sharper.

Do you have auto-sync on? Pretty sure it needs to be to trigger the auto update, dont quote me. I turned mine on and it said 6 apps needed updated RIGHT after. Could just be my super special island making, jet transforming, .3 version, idk.

Yes. I have auto sync on. I was not aware that that was part of the market.

From HTC Twitter page,

"If you applied the unofficial EVO update, we are working to get you back on the official track. We will get back to you in the coming days"

This narrows it down. We should have the update sometime between today and the end of time.
 
I'm actually hoping they fix some of the problems first, and then send an update. .6 isn't really different from .3, and there are problems with both. For me, the top 2 issues are:

Fix email syncing
Fix .wav files not playing
