My display is 2h 5m 6s
That's pretty good batt life. What program are you using to report data and SMS usage?
so out of 7hrs on you have 2 hrs of display, yet display is only at 8%?
not many people have stated the issue i am having. i have only owned the phone since sunday, the battery is pretty decent under normal use, (using advanced task killer). now i fully charged my phone before a long drive and then used the music player to play my music through my car stereo. the battery died in under 2 and a half hours, completely dead. today i did a small test, after unplugging the phone for about 4 hours and barely using it. i had over have the battery life left, i plugged it into the headphone jack for the stereo in my room and in under an hour and a half my phone was at 5%.. the wifi is turned off also keep in mind. Do i have a faulty battery?!!.. the galaxy s had no issue playing music.
Do not use advanced task killer it does more harm than good after 2.2 it messes with the internal systems power management

Um, add up all the % in the usage and it totals 100%. Then if you select one it tells you what and how long.
Exactly... yeah something isn't adding up. Presumably the screen math is right, which mean your "7-hr" estimate must be wrong. You say the display was on for 2-hrs, and since the screen shows that's 8% of total on-time, then it means the phone was really on for 2hrs * 1/0.08 = 25 hrs... not likely. So either the phone's math is wrong, or the numbers you're providing aren't real...Of course they all add up to 100% I know that. The math for the battery only taking up 8% just doesn't add up. 2 hours of display out of 7 hours is roughly is roughly 28.5% of the time out of those 7 hours.
It just doesn't add up that Android System, Cell Standby, and Phone Idle are using up more battery than the display when the display has been on 28.5% of the time since the phone has been powered on.
?!please explain![]()
something weird happened today, my battery was at 85%, i took off the battery cover, put it back on, phone reboots, now i have 91% battery life.
