there are three or four major incredible forums....its hard to find any credible posts of people getting it.
I think it was likely pulled back because it is still buggy.

Look at the thread about the simplest way ever / windows xp.
I just downloaded the RUU on my XP netbook , plugged in my phone and flashed it. If you have HTC Sync set it on hard Drive insted of sync.
I was actually thinking the same thing. Unless they did a very small test batch, and then stopped. And will resume hopefully today or something.
But yea, the reports are too scarce to believe its rolling out steadily.
I only have Win7 on my computer and laptops. Will that thread still work with Win 7 at all??

I am a little surprised we haven't seen any more people stating they got it this morning. Saturday there were a few people exclaiming the update was waiting for them when they woke up. Today nothing from anyone. I doubt the update roll-out has resumed based on that. I guess the update is being given a few days to simmer, before it is put out at full speed. On the bright side, no major issues being reported by anyone that I have seen, so at first glance at least having to wait for Verizon QC seems to be paying off in that respect.
I disagree. Even 1 credible report means it wasn't stopped.

Good luck man ! Flashing is a lot better than waiting. I did a factory reset and have no bugs whatsoever , works great !
Very few Incredible owners even care. Few of them will bother to report that they have it. the VZW twitter ID is still reporting that it's rolling out.

Of course Froyo rolls out the day my screen cracks and needs to get replaced. I wonder if they push my update out today, and I get a replacement tomorrow, will Verizon assume that I've received the update and not accommodate the new phone since my records will show update has been pushed down to me.

Supposedly people were getting it yesterday but it sure looks like things are moving slower than a snails pace.

I saw an update notification and thought, "oh cool, it's my turn." then I opened it and it was for a new HTC widget.

After speaking to a few people, it seems they didn't actually receive the update, and either assumed they received it, or another application was updating options on their phone and the individual was quick to assume they were getting Froyo. As of now, do we have any confirmation of an OTA rollout? Does anyone have any pics of the phone downloading the new software?

Verizon ALWAYS rolls these updates out slowly in the beginning. They test it out to make sure it goes smooth then they ramp it up. Relax.

This is your first post, although it does not mean your information is not credible, it means your information is questionable. You woke up and your phone showed you that you needed the update? You downloaded said update, and installed 2.2, and you have noticed that battery life is the same, but the phone is snappier? Do you have any pictures to show us? Maybe even a picture of your software page showing the numbers ?

this thread is getting ridiculous. people need to read. The OTA is going out. Verizon said it was, and several people have received it. Someone has shown screen shots. stop posting where you guys are, it's not regional. just be patient, you know how many people wont post that they've gotten it? this is a website, and people have lives, with better things to do than announce that their cellphone got an update.

people also have the choice of reading the thread or not. did they make you click on the link and read it? if you have a life then how do you have time to read whats in this thread? aren't you busy?

No, not jumping on him. I just want people to post some type of pic for the rest of us. It would be beneficial for everyone if we all see that at least someone has received the OTA. Also, i do believe some of you are correct, nothing you can do but hurry up and wait. Some people have received the update, and some people don't even know what a forum is if it smacked them in the face. Not just this forum, but any forum...Let's just wait it out and see how it goes. The reason I asked the poster that had 2 posts because he quickly said he received the update this morning, so I wanted to see if he could get some screen-shots to calm everyone DOWN.
