Root I need you opinion...

ok. i am thinking about upgrading my phone. ive got my eveys on the gs2. it just looks amazing and easy to root. but. should i.wait another 8months for the next big thing? cause that's when the gs3 is gonna come out. idk what to do, because they r giving the gs2 away for. 01 cent on amazon.
any opinions welcome

I cant realy offer advice on if you should or should not but I would suggest you play with the gs2 as much as u can in the stores or a friends.
I was blown away by the photon untill my daughter got it and had some me time with it. Also go to the gs2 threads and check them out. I have noticed that when im on the other phone threads that i almost always find someone comparing that phone to the evo.
Realy only u can decide
 
Sounds like good advice! I can upgrade one if my phones now but i want to give them a chance to come up with something that REALLY knocks my socks off.

I think im gonna hold on. Cause whatvive heard is that lte comes out right when I get my upgrade. Well im betting that the next flagship phone will be amazing!!!
 
and waiting for the next big thing will just mean that you will be waiting forever. as there is always a new phone coming out on the horizon. i mean the galaxy nexus is coming to sprint sometime soon and that phone looks pretty sweet not to mention that it is a google phone. so in my opinion i would get whatever you think will be a good phone for you now. otherwise you will never own a great phone. for me i upgraded to the evo 3d, and i absolutely love the phone. of course it is not perfect. but, man dual core is awesome! and when the quad core phones come out:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D
 
Goods poin ocn. But I may have to wait. Cause my upgrade it only 75$ so depending when the galaxy nexus cones to sprint i may get it. Cause I want that phone

ok that is a very good reason to wait then. but to wait for the next big thing is silly. especially with technology going as fast as it is.
 
Just a thought but I'm keeping my Evo for a while because of the great developer support. Look at the Hero, ICS? Are you kidding me? Since you're rooted, you won't fall too far behind the next best thing, imo:) Plus, I'm preordered for the transformer prime with tegra 3 and quad-core so I'll get a taste of quad before my next upgrade for the phone;)

Really the evo will be developed wayyy after the quad cores are out. Development for the Hero is still on going...are you kidding me!!:eek::eek:
The Hero is ancient in terms of cellphones, but it still gets love from the devs. Just think what the EVO will get along the way?:rolleyes:
If you like what you have now, Keep it. If you find yourself straying to something else, get it. Even if its out of contract, if you really want it, you'll save up to get it....at least I will! :D
Like I said before, I'll wait as long as I'm happy with my EVO, which I still am. I see no reason to jump for now.
