Root I think I bricked my Evo? :l

Okay, I did all of that to the point of selecting recovery and it took to me to a screen "clockworkMod Recovery v3.0.0.5. Prior to that screen in hboot it said no image several times really fast and then I was able to choose recovery.

ok so you can get to recovery. that is good. you can then just choose a rom of your choice. and in recovery
1,select mounts and storage
2.select mount usb storage.
3.transfer whatever rom you want to the card.
4.select install zip from sdcard
reboot now you should have your phone back.

THANK YOU thank you thank you.. I am running cm_supersonic_full-87 which is a little different and not sure where anything is but I don;t know what happened I have changed roms before and never had a problem until tonight. Thanks so much!!

nice, glad you got it going. you may want to checkout my post about recoveries. make this a lesson as not to use rom manager. do everything manually.

Well first get a Rom (evo). And place it on your sdcatd. Top level. Meaning not in any folders
.....
Can u boot up? If not Did you make a nandroid?

well he got a rom to work and he has recovery. but yeah that is a good idea to make a nandroid backup. but i would also research into switching recoveries as well

So yesterday i tried rooting my phone with revolutionary. I worked fine i then tried doing a back up with ROM manager Using Clockwork mod. After that my phone kept on reseting itself every minute. I went into recovery to do a factory reset and now the phone is stuck on the root menu. And will not mount the SD card. Any suggestions on how to fix this

welcome to the forums!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
first off i would not use rom manager. it tends to be very buggy and can create issues like this. i would do everything in recovery.

so you do have access to your recovery? try wiping dalvik cache and cache and see if you can reboot. dalvik cache is found under andvanced in the clockwork mod menu. also try and restore a nandroid backup from recovery. if that does not work then try and flash a rom. make sure that you wipe dalvik cache, cache, and data.

First follow Ocn's suggestions.

you may also want to consider switching recoveries. Most of us use Amon RA a much better recovery than clockwork. Use Rom Manager to download ROMs and keep updated copies if you must but I would not use it for anything else. I think one should always get to know the recovery environment.

ok so yes i can still get into recovery but i do have a rom on my sd card ready to be zipped but it keeps saying that my sd card isnt mounted?

Thanks @Gearhead_eng your simple instructions were all i needed to get my evo booted up into the Swagged Stock Rom that i tried to install with clockwork mod.
